Sali, this has got to be one of my all-time favorite interviews ever. Two women in the industry whom I admire so very much having an authentic conversation about life. Kate’s products have changed my skin for the best, and both of you are women who have inspired me so much. The courage and honesty in this conversation is tremendous. As someone who has been in AA and sober for almost four years, along with having an alcoholic father who is now dying of cancer, I adore Kate even more knowing her history with alcoholism in the family and the face that she personally was a member of Al-Anon. Thank you, Sali, for always giving it to us straight and sharing your wisdom and conversations with the world. ❤️ So much love from Chicago.

I love how you give Kate time to speak and complete her sentences. Very few interviewers do that. (they usually speak over their subjects and cut them off) It makes the interview so much more engaging and enjoyable. What a wonderful human being, beautiful woman inside and out. Like you I found ALANON meetings here in the U.K. helpful. My dad stopped drinking on his own, heaven knows how he did but he did. When they were married my mother sheltered us from all the hurt and anger and aggression too. Loved this vlog. Thank you Sali and Kate Sommerville, very much.

Sali, I had my hair professionally bleached from your shade to silver 2 years ago WITH Olaplex slowly over a few months (getting lighter and lighter) and it All.Broke.Off. I wore a hat for 1.5 years while the new baby hair on top grew back. It was genuinely traumatic. My hair is thin like yours. My advice in hindsight is to cut it into the shortest bob u can and do lowlights to blend the grey while you slowllllly grow it out. Treat your hair like your skin - avoid the bleach!

Great interview, but I need to say this or I'll explode. I will never understand what's going on in English speaking people's minds that when they see the word Oribe, they pronounce it as Orbay. It's Oh-REE-beh. Why do you ignore the I in the middle? Why do you change the vowel at the end? I get that not everybody speaks Spanish, but the pronunciation is so bizarre and random, that it's genuinely puzzling to me.
