Loved it‼️👏🏾🇹🇹👍🏽 Thought you did a GREAT job‼️ As a Trinidadian, of course its hard to see your dirty laundry exposed. But, he managed to cover very well the problem and the reasons. He touched on the complexities of my island's issues with Piracy, inland crime and Immigration. And of course our beautiful CARNIVAL as a background for balance. Btw, i do background vocals in our Calypso Tent "Klassic Kruso" around carnival time for Mr. Garth St. Clair. Good man‼️👍🏽👏🏾

I want to know what that English man intend to do with the racism in his country, England?
So a report on pirates that has no footage of pirates. Speaks to 1 fisherman, 1 refugee, an undertaker, the coast guard and a radio show host. Basically went to carnival in Trinidad on company dime and did no actual investigation. Why is there no interview with any criminal element or from residents in gang infested neighborhoods. Why is there no interview with anybody accused or suspected of piracy? This was a very poor piece of journalism.

Remember a few years ago when the Russians tried shooting at Somali pirates a tourist thing ? One could book passage on a Russian vessel that would pass along the Somali coast. When the pirates showed up, the "tourists" were allowed to shoot. It didn't last very long as it was thought to be piggy (Ya Think ?). There is something satisfying when you cut loose with a .50 cal into an open boat load of people who are set on killing you, especially when you can have the video for later viewing.

We had a similar problem like them with illegal migrants coming from Cuba, but our saving grace is that they usually move on to Florida USA where they have huge Cuban populations.

@roadboat92164 жыл бұрын
Oh my, it pains me to see this. Trinidad and Tobago are very special. Wonderful people! I lived there for several years. Sailed, dove, and fished the wonderful waters there. As a musician, I loved playing music with the wonderful talent there. I left there in 1999. Venezuela was starting to go down hill. On my way to Panama, I gave it a wide berth as piracy was just starting. Now it is ravaged by a terrible Dictatorial government. It is not at all Socialist. It is a ruthless dictatorship. It has been destroyed. I worked in Venezuela in the 1980’s. It was the most prosperous and successful country in South America. This is what greed and power does to a country controlled by the powerful few. I now worry about my country, America. It has been purchased (stolen) by the powerful corporations and oligarchs. Less and less for the people, and more for the rich. Not a good direction. I’m sorry to see the policy on education for the Venezuelan children. A big mistake. Over all I have been very impressed at how T and T have such a successful multi cultural and multi religious society. Much better in this department that the US. Thanks for the enlightening documentary

It's so sad how much Venezuela went downhill within a single generation, and all that mostly because of some corrupt politicians. When I traveled all over that country 20 years ago, I remember one of the most beautiful places on earth, with a very diverse landscape with picturesque beaches, the Andes mountains, tropical jungle and vast plains, the Orinoco delta... all within short reach. They had a proud culture, sincere and friendly people, and no substantial poverty problem at the time. And except for some shady places in Caracas it was a very safe country. I'd can't help but become nostalgic whenever I hear 'Venezuela' and wonder what a once so beautiful place like the Andes city of Mérida is like today...
