In the Heart of the mountains | Fell down a scree shute | Lake District winter Wildcamp on Kirk Fell

A brilliant camp on Kirk fell looking deep into the heart of the mountains. Thick clag the next morning though made me lose my path in the scree and descended the wrong way, resulting in a bit of a fall down a steep scree shute.

Spot on mate, some cracking views as you were climbing up, good place to pitch too, definitely in the heart of the mountains ⛺️👌, shame about the weather in the morning, that’s camping..never know what you’re gonna get when you wake, when the clay rolls in bad weather you can see why a lot of people get lost and stuck up there, great watch mate, atb Mick 👍

Great video Andy ,one of the toughest pulls in the district onto Kirkfell. Good beers 😂 nothings better than getting onto the fells with all the kit you need .that bit of scree can be lethal .

There is a route down the scree slopes in towards wasdale, very tough in the dry, so the wet would be another dose of epic.
