Without their key hooker,and centre, lost the starting hooker via foul play ( lets be honest) and played with a geriatric hooker for over 70 mins…???? By far? If a full strength Bok team played as fresh as the ABS were entering the final it would have been worse than Twickenham by far… Those Boks deserved the highest of praise in sporting history and the history will be remembered as one of the greatest sporting teams and achievements of all times….🇿🇦🇿🇦

Love the game of rugby but sometimes the refereeing just takes too much out of the game. Like if you wanna say thats a red sin bin him for 10 and then take him off the field and let them replace Kane. It just totally deflates the game for a tackle that wasn't malicious at all. I don't think Ireland were tournament favourites, they clearly had a chance being no.1 going in. The preparation before the game was the difference, AB's played Uruguay on the 5th and had an easy victory, Ireland played Scotland on the 7th resulting in a raft of injuries, that tilted things in favour of NZ, mid week Ireland didn't appear to have a backline but they threw a team together, early points for the AB's caught Ireland cold and they just didn't play to their full potential that day. Great game though.

There should’ve been a total readjustment and complete clean-out of the coaching staff after the All Blacks lost to England in the 2018 rugby world cup semi-final. That undoubtedly would’ve meant Scott “Razor” Robertson being appointed as head coach. NZR's decision to appoint Ian Foster instead was a disastrous one which led to the worst performances I’ve ever seen from the All Blacks in the 4 years leading up to the 2023 world cup. In the 2023 world cup itself, it led to the All Blacks’ loss to France and cost the All Blacks the title with the loss to the Springboks in the final. Had Razor been appointed as head coach, the All Blacks would’ve won the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
