Silent night, let me sleep away these memories within Sacrifices of purity are turning into sins And this judgement day is growing near And this confession is killing me again This beautiful tragedy is crashing into me This dying destiny So now you lay yourself down in this grave with shattered eyes Beautiful melodies to try and wash away the lies And this judgement day is growing near And this confession is killing me again This beautiful tragedy is crashing into me This dying destiny, take me away This beautiful tragedy come crashing into me This dying destiny Will you be there? Will you be there by my grave? Or will you be the death of me? My beautiful tragedy This beautiful tragedy is crashing into me This dying destiny, take me away This beautiful tragedy come crashing into me This dying destiny

I Remember when my dad would play this song almost every night... He would blast it on his speakers, and he told me what the song was about... Something terrible or sad can turn into something beautiful, I didn't understand it because I was only a child when he told me now that he is gone I understood what the song meant... my mom didn't have much to do with me when I was younger because her and my dad had gotten a divorce but since his death me and her had gotten closer and understand eachother, and even if she had been divorced from him she was like a best friend to him and even though I was his daughter (now son, Im transgender lol) he was my best friend and because of that it lead to me and mom's grieving turn into a close relationship between me and her that I never thought would happen... I love this song and it will always make me think of my father and how much he did for me even when he left this world 💕

I'm a latecomer to In This Moment; a co-worker introduced me to their music just last month (August 2023). She first suggested Whore and The In-Between, which I enjoyed. I decided to make some time to put on a playlist and it has taken me to their older stuff. In This Moment's older material reminds me of a Killswitch Engage style of melodic metal, which I LOVE. Even on my first listen, this song has instantly amazed me.

I didn't listen to in this moment until recently. And I really only listened to the newer stuff (sex metal Barbie, adrenalize, whore, blood, etc etc)... And to an extent, I liked it. It's really catchy with its instrumentals, and Maria has an unprecedented ability to blend melodic singing and hard screaming in songs...But finding this older song honestly makes me sad. This song was SOOOOOOO better than anything I've heard before because it has heart in it. Let's face it, in the new In This Moment stuff, Maria Brink basically rants the same thing in every song: She has a higher sex drive than even the horniest man in the world, and f- all the haters out there...The chorus of this song here, though, is so good in every aspect! And it makes me sad that In This Moment now feels, at least to me, like they fell into a marketing strategy of attracting a huge audience through seduction... all when, with songs like Beautiful Tragedy, it's obvious that Maria didn't need to take her clothes off to sell music...I think they should go back to this, because I have listened to this song now like 10 times in a row and can't get enough of it...Can't wait for the crazy responses people are gonna give me over this comment :)

@AliceL7 8 жыл бұрын
+Daniel Gebhart Thats not what the new songs are about at all :o. Adrenalize is about getting out there and living life and enjoying it and indulging in excess and indulgant behaviour before you die and not wasting a day. Sick Like Me is about finding beauty in twistedness/uglyness. A black widow spider is small and beautiful but deadly, it kills and eats its mate shortly after mating. A male black widow is harmless. There are women out there who are like the black widow spider, beautiful, small and seemingly harmless but are dangerous. This is what the song is about, those type of women. Deceptively controling or dangerous women or people, doesn't have to be about a woman. Sex Metal Barbie is about "f the haters", but its also about overcoming the gossip and rumours. They took all of the shit being said about them and used it to make a song, they overcame that. Alot of people in the metal community like to blame her for stuff and generally use her as a scapegoat when they refer to metal being "mainstreamed". She is talking about taking all of this hate and using it to her advantage and thrive. Whore is about "taking back control. It is about taking the power from a disgusting and degrading word and turning it back around on the accuser. It's about self empowerment, love, and liberation It is about finding our power and taking a stand. We are resilient beings and need to realize our incredible strengths. I will not bow down to others perceptions of me. I will only rise in the name of art, love and music. One of the best things about the song Whore, is all the feelings and thoughts that the word alone provokes and thas great but at the end of the day it just a word, the only power it really has is the power that we give it. It's really just about taking the power back from the word" - Chris and Maria All of this is from interviews with the band members with alittle interpretation thrown in, but mostly Maria and Chris's words.

Buen tema. In this moment de lo mejor del metal. María tiene una voz extraordinaria. Y su belleza es infinita, es tan hermosa que aunque el video parece en blanco y negro tiene el mejor de los colores. Forever Maria. I LOVE YOU ❤❤😚😚

First time i heard this band live was shortly after there blood album was released, it was my last day of leave from military in kansas city missouri, one of the best shows I've ever been too and i do believe it was sold out......now next saturday ill have the opportunity to see them again but this time in norfolk virginia where I'm actually stationed and live at...soo freakin excited! I just hope they play this song this time as they didnt in kc. Nevertheless im pumped for next saturday.

I bought this CD on a whim without ever hearing the band. For some reason I picked it up because I was triggered by the front cover artwork. My first listen blew my mind! What luck to score one of my all favorite albums of all time. i have the their whole discography but "A Beautiful Tragedy" is still my fave. Rock on Maria, you sexy goddess.

This song deserves a good remaster. The song itself is one of my favorites by them but the production quality is sub-par in comparison to their other music. I'm sure a good engineer could bring this right up in league with all their other music. This is one of those songs you can really feel and getting that production quality up would make people feel it all the more. No disrespect to in this moment or whoever mixed and mastered this song for them. I just think this a great song and deserves a good remaster, respectfully.👍
