Interesting.............I think what he says in the last 30 seconds says it all; its a good summary of the whole thing in brief. I think it should help applicants to both universities in judging which one to choose as per their subject of interest or preference.

Why lament over Oxford's politician output when Cambridge has produced alumni that have actually contributed to the world?

Wonderful, provided one can ignore the atrocious 'sub-titles'. A crock of gold awaits whoever can eradicate these grossly misleading sub-titles, - ideally, forever.

What sub-titles? Alan - and what happened to my question about your last comment?

Apologies. 'Sub-titles', the term I have used is misleading. Unfortunately, I am unsure as to what the correct word is. I am referring to the fact that as the speaker speaks, his words almost simultaneously appear on the screen. Good idea, but for the fact that the words on the screen too often bear little relation to what the speaker has actually said. Thus producing unwarranted confusion, rather than illumination.

He was a student at Oxford, and he is a professor in Cambridge...I mean, there's no way to know everything about the University, or the Colleges, most student know very little about it (apart from the current university rankings, of course; Cambridge rocks!:) however people usually knows, that it is a 800 years old university, and Oxford is slightly older. Especially professors. Still, his comparision about Cambridge and Oxford is excellent.

Also, I have to add, that the fact that Cambridge is much liberal than Oxford is something like Cambridge is the dryest point in the UK. But this not actually mean that is is dry...

ok he lost me when he implied Darwin made his discoveries at Cambridge....he was merely an undergraduate there. one would agrue that Edinburgh had more impact on Darwins initial years than Cambridge. Maybe the author should explore where Downe house is.....

This video is mostly nonsense... Both universities are around 800 years old (Oxford in fact is 50 years older). Margaret Thatcher went to Cambridge.
