@@MommyNeedsAMinute A garden past it’s “blooming stage” may stop having most flowers and plants due to lack of “specific nutrients” in the soil however some plants who able to withstand such environments still are able to “thrive and grow” come the next Spring and become a ecosystem for other types of life . A barren garden does not always mean a “lonely” garden :D

To be more direct, the hormonal changes from menopause can affect sex drive, but that change can sometimes be an increase rather than a decrease! On a more psychological level, knowing that you're not at risk of an unplanned pregnancy can reduce anxiety around sex, and that anxiety could have been reducing sex drive, so losing that anxiety could cause an increase. If you had been previously using hormonal birth control, coming off of that (since you don't need it any more) can affect sex drive as well. And for people with painful periods, that pain can obviously put you out of the mood, so losing your periods can be a benefit in that sense. On a practical level, around the age menopause usually hits, if you're a parent, you're likely getting to a point where your kids are in their teens or even adults. So, you might have increased opportunities for quality time with a partner, compared to when kids are younger and require a lot of supervision. There's a TON of reasons many people experience an increased interest in sex after menopause! True, some people experience reduced sex drive, but it can really go either way. Society is just really uncomfortable thinking about older women as sexual beings, so we don't really talk or think about it often.

One of my Nana's daughters asked her one day how she felt; she responded "with my fingers". I nearly fell down the stairs at her reply. The day she passed she asked for Taboo perfume "for when she went to meet Papa." And there was a warm, almost playful wind that night with a lot of joy, no tears because we knew she was with him

I hope Violet has a robust second romance in an upcoming season. She deserves a loyal, quick-witted gentleman who absolutely adores and amuses her. In the books, does she have such a suitor?

She doesn’t, but she entertains the idea at one point (I think it’s the birthday bash that Sophie makes her appearance at)… it almost causes her oldest children to have a panic attack at the sight of her merely acting like one of them for a night. I hope we get an expansion on that arc, but it doesn’t develop into a serious deviation from her final decision (she’s okay as she is; the never remarried dowager viscountess).

I think she could do well with a skilled and passionate lover, albeit also a discrete one. Why the hassle with a new husband who is going to start making decisions for her? 😉

I've read books 1-3. So far her only business is getting her children married off. Most of the them in a hurry.

@@carolinpurayidom4570 No it was implying they had lots of kinks. It wasn’t referring to her children, tf that wouldn’t even make sense. To say she had lots of sex she only needed to say they had a large garden. Specifying they had a "wide variety" clearly means they experimented.

Oh my god, this show’s dialogue is so sophisticated and elegant, yet engaging and raunchy af!!! I want to work for Shonda Rhimes so badly. I want her to take me under her wing, and help me mold my writing to be just as enthusiastically entertaining as hers, which of course would be damn near impossible, because it’s Shonda Rhimes. I’m optimistic but not stupid.

Keep dreaming big dreams and working on your craft because you never know how great things might turn out. Also, if you like this series, might I suggest the books on which the series is based? They're by Julia Quinn and they're really fun. (Like this series, recommended for adults.)

Keep writing! Attend workshops! Attend conferences. Get a degree in some type of writing if you’re inclined. Otherwise just attend those things to edify yourself and hone your craft. Or if you’re in media, apply for production internships. That gets you in TV land. Screenwriters are in LA generally. That’s where TV is made. So I think it makes sense to get in those communities. Or apply for writer’s fellowships where you meet other writers and build connections. Or both! Both would help you get your foot in the door and gain experience. Who knows where you’ll end up? You got this!

Once i was with my best friend at a fancy dinner and i told her girl you know how long its been since ive been touched "down there", i THOUGHT i said it quietly but i had a couple drinks and didn't realize i said it LOUD enough for the table next to us to hear.. the table of men just stared at me in shock and lust and i just looked forward like you do after cutting someone off and they pull up next to you at the stop light😂 I wish i wouldve seen this scene already so i couldve just said "my garden is in bloom"😅🤣🤣🤣

That garden metaphor is used very liberally in this series. This is when women are at their peak and men reach theirs at 18. Such a shame. I don't think Anthony would stand to hear his mother talking about her garden. Maybe Daphne would.
