My interpretation is that the singer is a depressed teenager who feels smothered by society, she has managed to keep herself alive by thinking about the people around her (particularly the other person mentioned in the song). However that person is also sad and is now pushing her away and she doesn't now where to go (no way home of tomorrow's map, the language also is kind of like returning a package). She seems to respect that this person doesn't want to be around her anymore (and apparently expected it) and blames herself (dirty, sullied, tainted) while wishing someone would speak well of her (overflowing here means with emotions; she's about to cry). She only hopes that this person doesn't hold it against her for clinging to the memories of their time together. The contemplation on the suspension bridge verse makes me think that she's passively suicidal and is slowly finding other things to live for

The song is about the singer repressing/changing themselves in order to fit in to their "role." The perspective is from their inner repressed self, singing to the person they've become, about longing to be free again, or at least be remembered instead of forgotten.

My personal interpretation is that the song is about someone who’s only living for the sake of someone else despite not wanting to anymore. In the past, the MC’s friend used to be in a dark place mentally; so, they promised to stay by their side and help them, despite not being strong enough to handle the pain themself. Their friend eventually recovered, but the MC continued to suffer from their own issues. They don’t want to leave their friend’s side, but feel like if they do or even let them know they’re hurting, it’ll cause them to relapse. So they’d rather stay silent and let their thoughts grow worse, even becoming suicidal, standing at intersections and bridges contemplating how they’d die. The only thing pulling them through their days is their friend’s trust in them, and the hope that they’d no longer have to worry in the future. It might not fit the lyrics exactly, but most of the lyrics seem to be pretty ambiguous/vague to me anyway, which leaves a lot of room for interpretation.
