SPOILERS TILL SEASON 4 OF HAIKYUU (Haikyuu character analysis)
From Karasuno to Shiratorizawa, Haikyuu is an anime that is filled with diverse teams, each having their own unique playstyles and identities. In this video, I talk about a team that terrified and inspired me at the same time. With players like Miya Atsumu, Miya Osamu, Kita Shinsuke, and Ojiro Aran, it is a team that taught me so many lessons and made me feel so many emotions. Inarizaki is truly one of the greatest teams in Haikyuu.
Hope you enjoy!

Kita is my favorite character maybe it's because I don't have what he has. The discipline and commitment to a daily routine that bears fruites. The ability to stick to the process and let the reward just be part of it. I was going to request a dedicated video about Kita and his mindset but you covered it a bit here. Really like your videos

Out of all the philosophy in Haikyu, for me, Inarizaki has to be the best. The past can be crippling when we hold on to it instead of taking that past as just a lesson, a memory to teach us to make us stronger and better. Yesterday, used to be today and Tomorrow will be today. So, in a sense, today is all we have. Today is the only time we can do something for our future. The present is what we should focus on, and I think it greatly ties in with Kita's backstory... that his everyday habits made him. P.S. You had me tearing up again or maybe I just love Haikyu too much that anything related to Haikyuu that resonates with me will make me cry.

Bro no cap… It’s kinda crazy how in sync our thoughts are about this show. I love Inarizaki and the Miya twins for the same reasons. A controlled chaos that knows exactly what all his teammates is capable of, is both scary and the coolest thing ever! Great video! 💪🏽

"muscle to be used and not dwelled upon", man. As someone who's most of the time focused on thinking and feeling, about the past or future but who abadons herself in the present, inarizaki scares me, but it's a mindset that i definitely need to adopt. To not be consumed by my thougths, frozen in time. Everywhere except the here and now. God, Haikyuu is just so good. Best story I've encountered, both in enjoyment and philosophy.

Haikyuu is full with awe-inspiring plays, but the most terrifying to me was the reverse freak quick with Osamu the spiker setting and Atsumu the setter spiking. The sheer difficulty of this play blows my mind when you consider all aspects of the situation these two were in.

One of the other reason I love this match so much because it literally deconstructs the concept of 'prodigy/genius' through Kita. Like the players we call genius in the series are not genius because they are simply born like this. They're born with hunger for volleyball. They're willing to sacrifice their blood, sweat and tears to get good in the game and stay in the court. It also showcases how people have hunger for different things in lives. Osamu doesn't have the same hunger for volleyball as Atsumu. But it's ok. It's ok to be good in something but leaving it for the lack of passion.

@buddah15

Chapter 283 depicts this motto so much by Karasuno. Earlier in the chapter Kita, whose character i adore, mentioned that he wasnt too fond of their motto and how he and daichi are probably the same in that they are the stable foundation that lets their wild children run free causing chaos for opponents. In the middle of the chapter he mentally dictates how karasuno has not used a back row synchro attack at all against shiratorizawa and used it only once as a surprise attack against them. And the chapter finishes with just that attack from daichi no less, one who is meant to captain their stability and not their trailblazer. The chapter overall hits so much more when you understand the depth of each panel

not gonna lie but my high school is literally Inarizaki . Because our jerseys are black with the jackets which are dark red. Also our coach keeps us from saying '' we don't need the memories ''. In our team, we have twin brothers who are me and my brother. I am opposite hitter and my brother setter. Our captain is as calm and intelligent as Kita. Inarizaki really inspired us whether it is the way they play volleyball or the characters of each character. So inspired that we think to be them and making a inarizaki irl team because we could choose our numbers. So I took number 11 and my brother 7.

This video was amazing!!! I think you covered really valid points. Honestly Inarizaki's banner is something that actually is really relevant in the sport, not just the anime. Its a philosophy I try get my teammates to understand, that we don't have the time or capacity to hold into the pointless memories of the past that will hold us back. As a wing spiker and captain myself, I fully can sympathise with any team, and Inarizaki is one of those teams that really does give anyone who watches them chills due to the raw power, effort and skill of each core member. A lot of the things these guys are pulling off are actually really difficult and I honestly love them for it. They actually have the right mindset to execute these attacks while thinking it thought during that short millisecond we have to think. Its amazing to pull of a lot of these things, and I'm glad you addressed this!

I never go on KZbin to post anything (purely a watcher) but I’d like to say that haikyu has quite literally changed my life. I began to practice volleyball every single day for hours. I made a team of my friends and entered leagues. We got trounced all the time but I didn’t give up. A few years passed and a club (Downstate Volleyball Club) offered me an assistant coaching job. This year I’ve been given my own expansion team of low-mid level players. I plan on surprising the circuit like Karasuno did. What a journey I’m on…

I love your analysis and the way Inarizaki told us to take risk and don't look back but rather converted as experience is facinating but what I like in their match was the last point when they pull the free quick back attack and Hinata and Kageyama block it is for me the scene that show Karasuno own way of see the "we don't neeed memories" and the comparison is so cool. Like this whole match isn't like their first where it was half luck and half skill but all of the point were "calculated" thanks to their experience. Nonetheless Inarizaki truly is the ultimate challenger in the end.

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE with this, I absolutely loved this team when I first watched them and had no clue why. It wasn't until I started picking apart what their banner/philosophy meant and who the characters were that I really started to know why I love them. "We don't need things like memories" is such a simple but strong message that resonates with me as someone who dwells on the past a lot and has anxiety. I love Kita and his character, the ideal person with the discipline that I lack and have since tried to embody his (and Atsumu's) mindset. NOT TO MENTION, THEY'RE ABSOLUTELY GOATED WITH THE MIYA TWINS, ARAN, SUNA, ETC. Real or fictional, they'd be an absolute fun team to watch.

One thing to remember is Atsumu being the clearly better volleyball player is a relatively new development. Osamu was better for a time and they were equal more or less for even more time. Funny enough Atsumu is probably the last one to realize how far ahead he is when it comes to the all japan selection and how he's the only one really angry about Osamu not making the cut. Just an interesting dynamic. Aran narrating their story is one of my favorite back story deliveries in the show.

He's put TONS of work into optimizing sets for his teammates to perform their best, and takes in everything that volleyball entails: The Cheers, the Boos, the criticism, the praise, the noise. ALL OF IT. And I just love that smile he gets when palying players of high caliber.

I don't know if people know this but the seiyuus for the Miya twins are two different people as well. Not to mention, their natural voices are very different that, logically, it would be a terrible idea to make them voice identical twins. The more peppy voice of Atsumu belongs to Miyano Mamoru who actually speaks with a noticeably higher pitch, which often comes out during scenes where Atsumu is excited. Osamu is voiced by Hideaki Kabumoto whose natural voice is in what I think is a baritone pitch, and the texture is noticeably coarse, which also comes out when the character is excited. It's a testament to the creativity and knowledge of the staff to not just hire two different people for the role of twins, but to have typecasted them, and made it work (it seems many fans actually don't know they're not voiced by the same person). It drives home the fact that Atsumu and Osamu, despite being twins, are two very distinct characters who are noticeably different in their personality, aspirations, and even their voices.

Inarizaki was also my favourite team from when i first saw them, and I was very taken with Atsumu from the camp too. I like this contrast of atsumu being the main experimenter and kita bringing balance and stabilising the risk taking before it gets out of hand. I really loved that we also get to see some moments of brilliance from Osamu in the match, like the fake spike that turns into a set, etc. One thing about the plot though- it feels a bit forced that the 2nd ranked team lost to a basically rookie team (Karasuno), while playing at their best and not making significant mistakes. I know that the idea is hinata and kageyama understood what the twins were up to and could counter it, Tsukki slowly working on Suna and all the rest, but still...

Thanks so much dude, the kind words are really appreciated! For the soundtrack are you talking about the one at the very end or the intro? For the intro the OST is called “Beast” from season 4 and the one in the end is “The Ultimate Challengers” also from season 4

Oikawa is my favorite character because his serve always looks so cool and his vibe is somehow the same as Urahara in Bleach and that’s what I love about him

Ok then with all that said, there's still a question remaining for me, what made Karasuno better than this powerhouse of a team?

They're not really better i must say, while they did beat inarizaki it still has the feeling they lose to that Inarizaki more often than not.

On my channel I manly cover lifting, but also started raw discussions on certain topics on camera, and I absolutely had to make one on Inarizaki. That is the way I strive to leave, yesterday doesn't matter, what matters is today
