I didn’t hear a single word how stable is this hub. How stable the Mac sits over the hub. Do you have to support the comp when you plug in and plug out all those devices?

It would be better if the usb-c input ports were at the side rather than the back, also I rarely use any usb-A cables so those ports would be largely redundant for me. Device looks nice though.

Yeah I agree they should have put at least 1 usb c on side and a usb a at the back, that would have made more sense.

The air vents below the SSD are flush to the table so is cooling an issue or not really?

We designed the foot pads on the bottom of this docking station so the vent won't get blocked. The air can circulate so that it can dissipate heat normally.

Those blue, LED bookshelf lights have to be contaminating the light falling on your iMac display - and inevitably altering your color perception for editing, especially color grading. Is this an issue for you?

I was going to make a dumb joke asking if that SSD dock work with Synapse since you have that Razer Blade so carelessly off to the side of the screen, but that dock actually looks cool

I was wondering if you had any good recommendations for a good cooling pad. I have a Asus strix scar 15 i9 2022 edition and it has a tendency to run quite hot. Average even at idle at times is 72C. Or any recommendations software wise to not only optimize performance but cool down the heat as well? I used to have one by Havit however I had a problem where it eventually smoked everytime I used it...

pretty sure the 27" has a wedged shaped stand so would overhang this (I could be wrong, I haven't had a 27" for a while)

This has a built in SSD slot so you wont need to unless you want another external HDD to back up your work/time machine

Late to this one I know but really good review thank you. I've got the Minisopuru alternative to this. Very similar though doesn't seem to have as many ports as far as I'm aware. It does have colour variants and a recessed 'tray' that the iMac sits on top of which looks really good. Very similar though. Thanks for the review

Hey dave, great vid ! I just wanted to ask you if you could tell me why my Alienware X17 R2 is using only 120 to140 Watts in 4K on Call of duty MW2. i have a 3080ti, i9 12900HK and 64 gb of RAM. For some reason i can't get over 130 Watts often on games and i've uninstalled Alienware command center already but it did not work. Please help :(

Hi Jason, are you running it in either the F1 performance mode or full fans? that normally boosts the watts of the GPU

@@MashITTechno i don't think i have , i reset my laptop not long ago and i'm pretty sure i remember having more wattage. And for some reason, my CPU is running at 40-60 watts , sometimes more for some reason

It's nice but could have been made a little smaller as in the depth. Then it could have gone onto of the stand. Just would have made a lot more sense to me. You want to change out that dive its a hassle to get to where it is. A plate to stick down onto of the base. Then attach it with magnets onto of the stand.

That is true but for me its just install a drive and forget it! so nice having a 2tb drive in there without it dangling out the back of the machine! I just hope they add all the colour options if it hits its kickstarter goals

@@MashITTech If it were just to install a drive and forget it then it's far cheaper to stick a drive behind the stand. But if they changed the design to what I mentioned it would suit people with the studio display as well as it uses the same stand.

That’s a really good point about the studio display, I didn’t even think about that! (Still haven’t even got one in to test yet)

@@MashITTech They are over priced but the speakers on them are pretty amazing. Very colour accurate and but does suffer from a little ghosting. But it's the brightest display I've seen and I've seen a few. I have one but they should be 1199 for the base model though not the 1500 or so they go for. But it does look and feel very premium.
