The chunky base make the iMac product look better. I just wish there were more USB c ports and that the ports were facing the back for better wire management.

What's the speed of M2 drive? Can you do read/write Blackmagic Disk Speed Test? Speed can vary depend on the USB-C dock.

Inatech have their own M1 Imac dock with 2 x usb c, 3 x usb a and the micro sd card slots in a very similar form factor minus all the different colour options for a much cheaper price. It also allows nvme expandability. Is there a catch?

Honestly, I think they are from the same manufacturer but just have a different company name. I had a few different companies reach out with this type of product but just a different box and name lol.

I have had 2 in at once, never noticed any issues. I always have the M.2 in it as well. It so far has been great. Still using it now.

Thank you. I have been using it but sometimes my disk (I installed 1 TB SSD M.2 PCIe 4.0 KINGSTON NV2 (SNV2S/1000G) NVMe) but sometimes it get rejected. I have to reboot the iMac so to have it back. Do you ever see this ?

Sadly I have not noticed this with my NVme drive. I have noticed a few times recently (since an update) that my 2nd drive for Time Machine plugged in with a USB to the dock ejects itself. It just shows back up without me restarting though.
