The build looked fantastic. What was even more impressive is the level of respect, and authenticity, between a Creator of a product and an Enthusiast who builds on it. Definitely an inspiration.

Great job guys, looks clean. For myself I found that living without any case at all is just perfect. Weekly dust cleaning with a rubber blower takes less than a minute, so there is no dust accumulation at all and temps almost never go above 60°C. The only thing to care about is an accidental sneeze in its direction lol.

@@NotFromConcentrate mine is on a small table with wheels, bottom of that table is made of metal net, so I mounted another low noise cooler under it. I don't even need to disconnect anything to move it in at least 1 square meter around when it is time to vacuum clean the floor. For a better picture: it is used with a wall mounted TV + wireless keyboard with integrated trackpad + xbox gamepad.

I remember seeing this dudes build early on in the SFF forums. Despite the idea appearing insane from the start, the way he described how he would tackle the challenges with the space instilled confidence that he had it in the bag. I'm even more impressed looking at it in this video. Really really nice stuff!

He likes the aesthetics, which is what matters. It's a little too blingy for me though. I do like the idea of a tablet screen on the side to use as a second monitor, or to use while traveling.
@plasmancer61043 жыл бұрын
I think if he was going to increase the case size a bit, he could have gotten a longer PCI Riser cable to flip the GPU so the heat sink was the same way as the CPU and use the whole other side of the case for a monitor.

I was able to get the Zotac 2070S installed without a shift bracket, into the IO cutout without issue. Just required a tiny bit of sanding on the OG bracket. Dimension-wise they are close to identical minus a couple mm on the length and an additional mm on the width. Swapping the HDplex combo locations was the saving grace. Temp-wise it's been incredibly stable but I'm still working out the fan curve. I can send photos if you're interested. Didn't even have to mod the GPU cables at all, which is a plus.
@vlissblisskiss3 жыл бұрын
Obviously it's not on par with this sort of excellent build but I do think it's a more "mainstream" setup. It's getting installed into a semi truck here in a few months so I can also update my setup then :) it's gonna be literally perfect for that sort of space constraint.

i did a mod a year ago on my s4 mini but my mod keeps everything inside the chassis without any brick. i9-9900k and rtx 2070. i wish that you would make another s4 mini version with a shifted graphics card slot because that is all it needs. i build another this year with a i7-10700 and rtx 2070 the same way(must cut the case due to tall graphics cards).

Small form factor modding is a hobby, some call it an art. But it's the challenge of it that draws people in. Some people don't understand and think of these builds purely from a practical standpoint, but it's really not the point. What makes this build cool to me though is it actually is a practical PC this guy uses every day as his main travel rig. I hope that makes some sense. Thank you for watching and your comment!
