1) Thanks so much! 2) I just ordered my set of fuel lines from linestogo as well and even though the items just shipped and I haven't received them yet I can tell their customer service is excellent 3) I actually ordered my brake lines from ebay using SS lines with the blue plastic/pvc coating. Hopefully they are easier to install. 4) I always thought you had to close the bleeder valve before each "brake" up during the bleed. It's nice to see you don't have to! Make it a one person job! 5) Thanks again and I hope to get this all done this Thanksgiving weekend on my 2000 3.0 V6 209,xxx miles car!

Nicely done, sir! 👍 Not sure I'd tackle that repair/upgrade myself, but I had my brake lines changed out to stainless steel lines shortly after buying my '02 TL-S back in Nov of 2001. It also helps that I live in SoCal so I don't have to worry much about road salts eating up my baby! 😁

The fuel injection line 14mm bolt that came with the line, from lines to go, is very different from the one I had factory on my 03 tl. When I started the fuel pump after connecting all the lines, fuel started gushing into the engine bay from the 14mm bolt. Would you be able to send me an image of the bolt you recieved? Thanks
@CarRepairsMadeSimple
@CarRepairsMadeSimple 2 жыл бұрын
The bolt for that fuel line was exactly the same as far as I remember. The best image I would be able to send you is the same as what is seen in this video at 23:02. I do remember it being very tricky to put in and I had initially started cross threading it, so make sure to be careful! With it being a larger bolt, it needs to be tightened a bit more. The torque spec is 27 ft.lbs for reference. Also take note as to how many threads are visible after tightening it. At 18:50, you can see only 2 threads of the bolt remain visible when tightened properly.

Is this a job that can be done with only two jack stands or would that be too inconvenient and impossible
@CarRepairsMadeSimple
@CarRepairsMadeSimple Жыл бұрын
You could probably get this job done with 2 jack stands, but I guarantee with as difficult as this job is already, you’ll be wishing you had 4. Jacks stands are cheap and widely available. If money is tight, you could probably find some used ones on eBay, Craigslist, or Facebook marketplace too.

Hey brother. Question. Have you replaced the tensioner pulley on your car? Unfortunately I think the only way to do it is to remove the tensioner bracket because I tried to only remove the pulley but the bolt for it hits the inside of the wheel well before it backs all the way out. Was hoping you had experience with this. Thank you

Hi bro I was wondering cuz I was planning on getting Acura TL type s 03 and most scared bout the the tranny it has 100k miles on it look like mint is there any way to test and check the transmission throughly without getting into since I’m not the owner yet
@CarRepairsMadeSimple
@CarRepairsMadeSimple 2 жыл бұрын
I would buy an obd-ii scanner and make sure the seller isn’t hiding any codes from you. Go check out my obd-ii video. Also, the most important aspect of keeping these transmissions running is keeping the fluid clean. Check the transmission oil dipstick and ensure the fluid isn’t dark or burnt smelling, and also isn’t over/underfilled.

It’s hard to find quotes online, and it also depends on the vehicle and how many lines are being replaced/spliced. But replacing all 5 lines entirely on this vehicle, I’d say labor alone would be between $500-1000.
