This is a great conversation and I enjoyed and learned a lot from this insightful conversation of two great minds in Zimbabwe. At 10.02 minutes Trevor asked a candid question - "what happened to us Simba?" Dr Simba very clear that Zimbabwe has changed. When we associated position of responsibility and leadership with acquisition of materials, the rot started. Zimbabwe is now a country of people with a deep degree of corruption and greed! We are a shadow of the former nation that we once were. Right now, we are power hungry, cruel, corrupt - we are no longer trustworthy, no longer hardworking, no longer honest, and very greed and cruel....Trevor rightly echoed, "we are broken nation!" The problem analysis and recommendations steps towards the solution by Dr Simba are so critical and very necessary for LEADERS in Zimbabwe! Indeed, "If we can't acknowledge that we have a problem, there's no way we can find solutions to something that doesn't exist" No one will come to help us!

Great conversation Sirs. We need people who are going to shine the torch to show us the way out of the hole we are in, not people who are going to shine the torch to show us how deep the hole is. Our challenges/ crises are well documented. We need solutions and actions. It's a pity that most of our energy is spent on toxic politicking and maintaining patronage networks.
@msi40634 жыл бұрын
My friend, if you are limping around with a crutch but refuse to admit that there's something wrong with your leg, let alone have the actual issue be diagnosed and isolated, You will absolutely never fix your limp. That's where Zimbabwe is.They can arrest Hopewell for exposing a discrepency in judicial practice on Bail. But a woman who was caught red handed with over $300k of Gold stolen from the nation and has the means to flee is allowed out on bail. In addition it's very obvious she has the means to tamper with possible witnesses. We need our people to have outcry when the indefensible happens. He was very correct in saying people get the govt they deserve. The U.S just came together and fiercly ousted that abomination of a person because he was degrading the standing of the nation. In Zim unfortunately people end up attacking the Doctor who diagnoses you with cancer as if he's the one who gave it to you.
@tapiwajokomo27664 жыл бұрын
@@msi4063 I think the challenges have been diagnosed ad nauseum over the years to the point that we are stuck in a state of paralysis by analysis. And that's the problem with persons like the good Doctor and others which include Dr. Noah Manyika, Dr. Nkosana Moyo, Dr. Shingi Munyeza, etc. They have been highly vocal, academic and theoretical about the situation but with no clear action plan to start changing the course of the country. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing (or to do little). Unfortunately, the electorate is left with no choice but to elect the incompetent, inconsiderate, corrupt, dishonest and slogan chanting men and women who are brave enough to put up their hands at election time, or on the face of it presents something to them. No matter how hollow that is.

Great Interview. Unfortunatly the normality you refer to that is needed will only happen when political change happens like Zambia.... This could have happened long back in 2000 and Investement would have flowed into the country. Political greed and power is so dangerous and Zimbabwe will only rid intself of this when God is ready to give back to those who are deserving. God Bless Zambia, God Bless President Rhamaphosa, who is really trying to get SA back on track against backward communist thinking politicians hungry for power and to feed off the gravey train like Zuma and others did. Lasrtly God Bless Zimbabwe. When the three countries once rid of the old school thinking which is no excuse anymore accept all their citizens as equal it can easily become the breadbasket of the world again and be prosperous. This will happen when God sees change. God Bless and help us.
