30rd pmags for the win, ultimate capacity to reliability ratio, magpul maglink when possible, and be careful using the normal pmags with .300blk as it seems to have an issue, however the windowed pmags (forget what gen i think 2) work just fine, as do the .300blk dedicated pmags.

@@everythingyukon Iv ran them for years with no issues, even was able to run them in the corps. All from shit reloads, to mk262’s, to m855A1 and everything In between. I personally like them, to each your own. I think everyone should try them and run what they like. You should do a video on them not running. My current agency runs them as well.

​@blackjack3599 that's not a new p mag. It's a gen 2 or gen 1. Old, used. Still good to go. Aluminum magazines are good, if they have modern anti-tilt followers (like a p mag). Here's why military branches authorized use (or straight up made it standard issue) after 10 years of being stubborn. Look on the gen 3 p mags. There's a stop on it that prevents the magazine from seating too deeply in the magwell. Malfunctions were caused when someone rested there mag on the ground shooting prone. Also, the older aluminum mags had followers you could literally jam up putting pressure on the front. Also, after years of abuse, many aluminum magazines had flared or cracked lips and bent floorplates. Supply ncos and commands ignored them and deployed with them. Guess what was failing duringbdeployments? Also, mag springs were way past their life, and weak. Supply ncos would stretch the springs into and tell grunts to keep using them. Along comes p mags. And soldiers, Marines, coasties began buying them personally and using them. Family members were buying them and mailing them to their relatives serving and deployed. This was an embarrassment to the ones in charge. So, they conducted a study and said the p mags did not work as well as aluminum mags they developed (improved followers and were a shitty tan color). The study results were dated before the mags were received for the study (THEY WERE CAUGHT LYING). To head off that embarrassment, the branches slowly agreed to authorize them. Then, the Marine Corps said "hold my beer" and was the first to say "we're switching to these motherfuckers...yay magpul!!!" I don't know when the other branches officially authorized them. I have pictures of the cracked, oxidized, worn out magazines with little to no spring pressure we used in Iraq. I also brought my own p mags and switched them out. That was 2009-2010. So, yeah. I like p mags. I still have aluminum mags personally bought.all of them have been upgraded with magpul anti-tilit followers years ago.
