If you don’t have the scotch brite dremel tips, another way is to chuck the clutch bell up in a cordless drill and spin the bell while holding a piece of scotch brite against the inside surface. As Adam said, make sure to use equal pressure and move in and out to get a good equal scuffing on the surface.

I always do the same and wash in alcohol with gloves on. Then I never touch the inside surface w/o wiping with alcohol again.

Great tip. Question for you. I run traxxs slash 2wd (converted into Salvas mudboss dirt oval car). From factory the slipper clutch disk smooth. Would scuffing the disk improve performance due to the scuff marks will give the clutch pads more “bite”. Your thoughts? Thanks
