Also in America…. The trolley would most likely derail due to loosened track switching regulations killing the people on both tracks and also spill thousands of tons of toxic waste killing the nearby town and environment as well. Finally the executives of the trolley company will receive government bailouts to recoup the costs of fixing the rails and buying new trolleys, much of which will just be spent on large bonuses for the top 2% of the trolley companies highest earning executives. Those executives will then use that money to lobby the government to loosen the regulations on the trolley system to cut costs on how the track switching works restarting the whole process. Moral: be a trolley excecutive. All the money, none of the blame, and you control the cycle with no oversight or consequences. 😂

technically by doing nothing you are not killing anyone, unless you yourself put them there. Only by pulling the lever to change the track to kill someone who otherwise would not have died can you count it as your kill. By doing nothing you a just a bystander to an accident.

For the first one, let me explain my decision. There is the lever to change the track the trolly is going to. If you weren't there to do something, the 5 people will die. So, there is no other way. But now, you are there, and YOU HAVE the choice to do something. Both options, either killing 5 or 1 people, is now in your hand. If you kill the one person, and rescue 5, you made the choice. But if you do nothing, YOU ALREADY made the choice to kill 5 people and let one live. So, in that case, it's better to kill 1 instead of 5. It doesn't matter. You are making the choice. (watched 1:51 of the video 😂)

Funny how you're taking a philosophy test when you lack logic, having a choice to save a life but cause another to die means you made a choice that lead to someone's death, but not taking action doesn't mean you made that choice, so pulling the lever in most cases basically makes you guilty because you caused the death, even if it saved someone else at the same time

I obey by two laws in this 1.) In my opinion it is your fault either way or not your fault either way it's not mismatched thus one way results in -1 persons and the other results in -5 and if your goal is to preserve human life like it is for me the choice is obvious. Of course then the other half of my brain says that less people on this earth is better for the earth thus the -5 is better. In conclusion it must be decided if it is your fault either way or not your fault either way for which side I listen too. 2.) If the choice significantly affects me then the option that doesn't is the right answer.
