Also realise that you're not in India where the chenda kottu paattu muthukuda etc are part of the culture( hindu temples) and most Europeans aren't used to it or the loud noise from places of worship, hence would prefer a peaceful life. The ancient St Thomas Christians (Syro Malabar)followed Nestorian the heretic and the customs of pagan’s , until the arrival of Latin Catholic missionaries from the Iberian peninsula in the 16th century .
@JU-bz1kn5 ай бұрын
@@fredloui3416 That is a lie propogated by some latin clerics who couldn't digest the fact that there were Catholics already in southern India before their arrival. They couldn't stand any other type of Christianity except the latin rite which they followed, so instead of accepting that there could be faithful Catholics outside their political boundaries who have their own culture and tradition, instead of accepting that they imposed the latin rite on to those catholics, causing the many splits in the St. Thomas Christians and also destroying important historical documents and prayer books of the Syro-Malabar (Nasrani) Christianity. But there were some good latin clerics who had reported a lot of these things to the Pope, so finaly the Syro Malabar christians could retrievethe available information from the vatican. In fact would not even blame the Latin Clerics fully because there were elements in the Nasrani Christianity which may have seem to be non-christian or heretic to a foreigner who just landed on Indian shores... similarly first time Indian Christians may see some things in western chritianity as non-catholic.

@@fredloui3416 They never taught the Nestorian heresy. Those were false accusations made against them by certain colonial elements that wanted to subjugate them and turn them into a loyal Latinised sub-class. The Church of the East never taught the Nestorian heresy as was clarified in the "Common Christological Declaration" between Pope John Paul the 2nd and Mar Dinkha the 4th.
@jacobmaliakal59085 ай бұрын
@@fredloui3416there are official records recorded about the early religious practices of the churches in the east and nowhere Nestorian practices are traced. Mlechhas are those outside of the Vedic fold. So no Hindu believes that Jesus is the Saviour, at best they respect him as a Yogi or a Guru best suited to teach Non Vedic people.
