As a woman I do not wish for any position of power or importance the most important thing to me is to love God and to draw closer to Him every day by attending TLM ,prayer and learning more about the faith. Being a mother is a much more important job than being head of anything. Sitting at the feet of Jesus humbly adoring Him is where I would chose to be there is no greater gift than to spend time with HIM 🙏

Robert, this is The best expression I’ve heard on the synod. Thank you. Thank you for taking the time and focus on this moment in time. I was so moved by traveling with you to a monastery where one can experience the fruit of unity with Christ and communion with others who love God above everything. I converted in ‘23 but began my journey in college by readying St Theresa of Avila. I had distant parents and surrounded by Protestantism and she at least taught me to seek unity with God and to pray. Social pressures led me astray and into decades of sorrow. In my 50s I found the desert Fathers that led me to the Church and the Eucharist. The smaller I am the more precious my love and devotion to Jesus and Mary, the more fulfilled and contended I am and I feel a profound fulfillment in prayer. I pray those French girls find their unity in Him and not a social construct or they will never have peace. God bless you and your continued love of God and His church. You have challenged me this year to understand what God is asking of us not what we think sounds cogent with social norms . The only position that matters is our heart lifted up to God.

Brilliant video Robert. I have always aspired to have a closer relationship with Our Father, Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Blessed Mother and all the angels and saints. I do this by opening up my heart in my prayers. I am trying to pass on this idea of a relationship within the faith to my children. It has been with me and guided me since i was a young boy. It helps me to see through the noise of the modern world. I once prayed to Our Lady on my commute to work many years ago and asked her how i should pray to Jesus, this is the prayer and i've never forgotten it.... "Oh my Jesus, how i adore thee, fill my heart with a sincere love and help me to be steadfast in spirit, whilst being surrounded by a world of darkness." I dont know why, but it felt like the right time to publicly share it with you and your channel.

If I want to look for an example of living a true Christ centered life, it is the Blessed Mother! So humble, pondering within her heart, God’s Word. She lived daily with The Word Made Flesh. She never wanted to be center stage. Her eyes were always focused on Our Lord. It was always about Him, never about her!

This is probably your most profound, truthful and prayerful presentation you have given which is tinged with your good gift of humility. Thank you so much for this. Yes, from what I have read of the great monks/saints of Mount Athos, we are missing out greatly on an appreciation of these great men of God. Our consolation must be the hope that our cloistered monks in Eastern Europe will be drawing down Graces from God on us, even though we remain oblivious in our disordered lives. God bless to all

Yes you are right. It is union with God. That is the point of Christ's to us. Return to the Father. The Catholic Church used to understand and promote it. It's in the traditional Latin Mass. But now it's been lost, hidden behind social Justice and worldly concerns of equity. Orthodox still understand this and teach it, form their liturgy around it.

I wasn’t inspired to become a catholic (converted from the Lutheran church of Sweden) by popes and bishops. I met nuns that had a guesthouse that I happened to visit as a get-away for studies. One of the nuns organised a study circle on female saints. These marvelous women through history fascinated me and made me want to enter the Catholic Church.

That we may be one in God - all peoples- each individual - and our own self to be one with God. God is on the march! No one is to be excluded. We do not need to be experts in the ways of the mystics. Prayer - talking to God - and listening to what God is saying. Building up our own relationship with God - he is there waiting for each of us to respond. It is attainable for each one of us. The Saints point us to God and to the Gospels - they are servants of God as we are called to be. Let us all rejoice in the goodness of God!

There was a time when I felt God was calling me to consider serving as a Deacon. I am a married woman and mother of three. My vocation would be one of total love and service and would not be motivated by power whatsoever. A clear response on why the Church would not welcome any human being's desire to serve and evangelize (whether male or female) is needed for all Catholics. I love my faith and all of the female doctors of the Church, and I understand the power of obedience. I am deeply devoted to our Blessed Mother. I hope clarity is gained for our generation, and for generations to come.

What about Mary? Why did no one at the Synod table recommend to young women (and men!!) to consecrate themselves to Our Blessed Mother and ask her to lead them to Christ, her son? She is the Mother of God! She is "between" us and Christ expressly to bridge that gulf and lead us to the union with her Son that you spoke about with such love. "The Authority of Women in the Catholic Church" by Monica Migliorino Miller is a wonderful help in understanding the authentic, indispensable role of women in the Catholic Church.

Great video and comment Robert , so true , although yesterday I was greatly saddened by a video of our arch bishop Eamon Martin rejecting help when a woman a mother begged him to help her son who was sent to prison for standing up for the faith in the republic , I never seen a man squirm so much to avoid the woman , my question is this , did Jesus reject woman who begged for help , no he was merciful,he always had compassion for the mothers ,he gave women respect and honour , because woman are the key with Gods grace to our existence,I could say lots of angry things about our Arch Bishop ,but what would be the point , he is a Pharisee simple as that ,only interested in his own position in Irish politics, nothing to do with our faith ,

Where does this question come from? Christianity is a life of obedience to God, directing your heart toward God, but the world always lusts. His daughters' desires are not from God. Teach them the story of Simon Magus. And you are right, power and sex are always on the world's mind.

God wants us all to be one with him - all peoples and nations - not one person to be lost. This why he created us. He is Love. He is Mercy. He is extravagant in Love and generosity. I passed a protestant charity 2 blocks from a church in queens & lines of people waiting outside for food. The joy of the young people there was palpable as they served everyone. The Catholic Church was locked up and opened for an hour & half every day for mass & rosary. A huge old Irish church in queens & the old priest talked of the charity of JP 2. How is locking up a church all day charitable? & Chirst like. Why isn’t the synod talking about priests helping the poor people & having communion for everyone but tell or educate at the same time about living a sinful life & have confession open every day just as much as mass. Confession is forgotten as is the rosary. Priests need to pray as well as monks and deacons need to say the rosary everyday with lay population

I'm only about 3 minutes into this video, but I feel compelled to say something. That father, the dad of 3 daughters just said that he thinks they don't have access to the highest positions in the church (which is just his pride speaking, but thats another matter). Father Timothy (?), the man in white, he just told the dad that the highest positions in the Church belong to the Doctors of the Church, which is true as far as I can see, and many of those are women. Okay. I'm just going to say here, that my dad raised me the same way that dad is raising his daughters: to be second class citizens. I'm sorry, if you teach your girls that they are not eligible for this or that because they are girls, you are raising them to be second class citizens. The Church freed me from that. Only now the Church is going to cave-in to the demands of people like that dad, and its going to relegate me to being a second class citizen, just like the world _REALLY_ wants me to be. You know, I knew that amassing a library of books by the Saints and the Desert Fathers was a good idea, but I didn't fully appreciate at the time why. Because, among many other things, I can't go back to being devalued because of my biology. I expect this comment to get deleted by our YT overlords, so here goes nothin'...

Therese of Avila, Thérèse of Lisieux, Hildergard von Bingen etc… Role models for the entire Church, what better examples. What I can understand is that perhaps lay women would perhaps like more job opportunities to serve the Church and be able to live from that. To this I would say that to be creative and develop new opportunities is key.

Those who lead are called to be last, but the modern person doesn’t want humility. They want the showy position. But tbf he is also a Dominican who love teachers, so that bias may be showing

There is a Dominican Convent there and as it was hot and I'd been on my motorbike a few hours I was very thirsty. Not only was it impossible to get a glass of water, I wasn't allowed to briefly visit the Chapel.....the bar-tabac in nearby Montréal was happy for my few euro. As to men's vocation to the priesthood, I'd say those with same sex attraction are not called, simply because the Vatican has very clear instructions in this regard. The bottom line is this: Do we care more about "my will be done", or Thy Will be done?

@@tonychow5845 Only God is infallible - and we need to accept that. As Pope Francis said we need to view 'Infallibility' in the context of the particular time it was announced. So the Church must have humility in accepting that no human being is on a par with God. The issue of God's calling people to the priesthood cannot be trampled on - quite simply - there are too many opponents at this time in 2024 who find it intolerable to work beyond the safe confines of what has been the norm for centuries. The bottom line is:: God is on the march. The Holy Spirit is at work to renew all things. The will of God always wins through - not necessarily in our own time. Right now we must ask God to help the Church to work together in unity - God wants us to be one with him. We must truly work at this and not cause divisions.

I would like to know how people were chosen to participate in this synovial process. I can't understand these questions. First of all, St. John Paul II explained the all male clergy. This was put into practice by Christ Himself. Why is this being discussed? If Jesus (the personification of God's love) chose 12 men. If females were meant to enter into the Clergy, wouldn't Jesus have first chosen his Mother? Wasn't she the holiest woman who has ever lived? If this continues, there is one thing we can be certain of and that is an irreversible schism.

Timothy covers the role of women within the hierarchy of the Church.. Silence is a great virtue exemplified by none greater than our Mother, the ultimate role model for the female of the species. On this synod.. hmmm .. the priest in white said he never thought anyone came between him and the eucharist .. really.. can I as a lay person consecrate the host? No, of course not.. the priest is fundamental in the sacrifice of the mass ..

Let all people speak in God's name and follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit in doing so. God created each one of us in his own image and we are united in Baptism. We are equal in God. Mary is a brilliant role model for all of us! Silence is indeed a great virtue - perhaps those who are accustomed to being listened to and who have an expectation that this will always be so should allow themselves to be quiet and reflect on Mary's Magnificat - a powerful payer of gratitude to God. Blessed be God forever!

Robert, I have been following your channel for quite a while. I want to thank you for your thorough reports and to your faithfulness to Mother Church. My humble opinion in regards to this synod...it is not of God....simple....they can turn and make all kinds of reasons why the women should be in this position or that. It doesn't make it moral just because they claim it is. Mary, Mother of God, had a very important role but she never took the place of Jesus or His Ministry. This is our example, plain and simple. This is all heading to the 'ordination' of females which in reality, will be no better than the Protestants. The false church of Jesus Christ.

That the Catholic Church has been thoroughly infiltrated by the worst, anti-Catholic, anti-Christian, liberal, marxist element is not a conspiracy theory, but a fact. Tragic. But, as usual, the fingers will not be pointed at the conspirators but at those who call them out....

Get a grip on this. We are all called to be servants of God - no power trips - no doing the worldly route of ruthlessly climbing to the top. We are following Christ - his kingdom is totally the opposite of this world ion which we live. We are god's servants, called to follow in his ways.

God is on the march here and now. The Holy Spirit continues throughout the ages to renew and breathe life into the world.m One of our jobs as Christians is to be open to God and to work with the Holy Spirit. God's ways are not our ways and God's thoughts are not the thoughts of the human mind - we can all too easily thwart God's workings.

@@thecatholicman We are all called to be servants of God as clearly shown in this Sunday's Gospel. Jesus had to explain to the Twelve on more than one occasion that power in the worldly sense is not what it's all about. The women and men Saints are saints because they showed themselves to be servants of God - their achievements came about purely because they responded to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and acted accordingly. We must try to If we live according to God's values - power and leadership according to the way of the Creator of all that is.
