very cool lighters, however I have to make a correction over the vintage box. it is not a normal box but a box you used to receive when the zippo would come back from the zippo repair clinic so its a repair box.

Yes correct and the insert is the one that was sent back as they used open flint wheel rivits until 1963.

1962 must have hollow rivet. And the hinges pin must from brass. Look like the insert nikel is not at 1962.

I got a zippo from my granpa looks exactly the same with this. Looks old outside but still have gold plate inside. Still functioning. May i know how much would this be nowadays?

I have a real stainless steel zippo and four of the same company zippos in nickle chrome over brass i reaquired the stainless from the national lighter museum its so cool its a dated lighter that celebrares an oil companies 100,000th well shot from 1948 after ww2 and before the brass shortage in the Krn war thanks for sharing our ealiest tool was most likely fire i really hope lighter collecting make a bigger than ever resurgence and with all the laws ungoverning cannabis it would not suprise me in the least and as a matter of experiance they are not making any new old ones and a huge populus is experiencing a more positive need to refire old flames humbly sincerely Thanks again for sharing

I think the black “Donald” zippo is from 2012 not 1996. The Roman numeral XII is 12 for 2012??? Right????
