Why won't Musk send starship to Titan that stores large amounts of ready methane and liquid water beneath the surface?
@colonbina118 күн бұрын
I think that will be a plan in the future
@PolyBFDI18 күн бұрын
Wild plan but a ton of fuel is needed and costs alot to bring all of it back
@juhovalio590618 күн бұрын
With a basic modern rocket, it takes approximately two years to travel to titan. So a round trip would be four years. Escape velocity from Titan is a bit bigger than from the moon, so escape needs quite a small amount of energy, but with a full storage of methane it would be hard. Rockets don't usually leave celestial objects with full payloads. It might be doable in some foreseeable future but right now we don't have the capability.

8 to 10 years to harvest 100 metric tonnes of Methane, mixed with other gases, he gets pure on earth via truck

@juhovalio5906 what are you on about? Saturn's velocity in space is significantly slower than Earth's; while Earth orbits the Sun at an average speed of roughly 29.78 kilometers per second, Saturn orbits at a much slower pace of around 9.67 kilometers per second, meaning Earth travels almost three times faster than Saturn around the Sun. Do you not know what escape velocity is? Passing speed is 20% or so. To 'escape', you only need to go 1/4th to 1/3rd faster. The Earth's velocity is 67000mph to get to orbit is another 7000mph. The Moon's mean orbital velocity around Earth is 1.022 kilometers per second (km/s), or 2,286 miles per hour (mi/h). The velocity at the equator is 1000 mph more than what the earth is moving in space around the sun. You already have an extra 1000 mph, plus, there is no atmosphere adding weight.

There’s no chance of a new Russian space station 10:04 any time soon, given the dire state of their economy. They aren’t even managing to maintain basic infrastructure, with such things as hot water mains bursting under their streets and commercial planes malfunctioning weekly. Not to mention the effects of a certain special op.

I wont be surprised if starship ends up with a TWIN-HULL DESIGN.... Water is the key element for protecting the crew from radiation and can also be used to make fuel and drinking water. TWIN-HULL DESIGNS are heavy and appear wasteful until you understand how much the water and TWIN-HULL play a role for the crew. The TWIN-HULL DESIGN did not save the Titanic but will play a role in all future Starships, Space Stations and Bases... Just watch....

Are you a marketing rep for AMD in real life? You sound like a real hype machine, has to be some sort of record that many mole hills into mountains. Oh and you have no sense of size that is true, saying those temp braces could be for floors when they obviously hit the technician in the neck when he's standing on the one below, yeah sure those are to partition the ship, for munchkins maybe. I used to think you were one of the better ones, now all I see is hype and tripe with supposition spewing from you. Welcome to the deleted channel list.

It's amazing how this guy just bold face lies and pushes what ever elon nonsense despite all reasoning and comon Sense. I guess Between Elons money an youtube's monetization he is ok with being a liar and sounding like an idiot. Hadn't heard the carrying 100 people B.S. in a long time. Parroting a really old elon fantasy. And I don't know where that supposed corridor image came from, but it most certainly was not from Sn4. They have not even began working on an interior crew design. As of right now they can't even get to L.E.O orbit with an empty shell. 4 people would be the maximum this waste of time could possibly hold comfortably. Over 2/3s of the interior volume will be utilized simply to carry fuel. That will likely never happen anyways as this is the dumbest concept for Space travel. Fundamentally flawed on multiple levels with Elons pressure for cheap materials and sun contractors compounding continuous parade of failures with a paid army of shill like this guy pushing spin all day every day. This video did surprise me twice though. There wasn't a bit talking shit about blue origin or blaming the FAA for Starship not being ready
