Never in 35 yrs of King Biscuit have we ever had such a powerful performance as John Hammond Jr. I’d hated to have been Albert King and had to follow John that night. John is a force of nature. I’ve never felt that energy in the air as that night on the Mississippi River with John stomping the stage from his stool as he played, which I ran 6 blocks to get for him at 14 yrs old. The stage was bouncing. He was as hot as a million suns 🔥I’ll never forget
