I have an older version of the Franklin Stud Finder and I was amazed at how accurate it was and it is my go to tool. I was so impressed, I purchased them as gifts for my friends one Christmas and everyone is now using it too. Great video.

I use neodumium magnets instead of a stud finder. Most drywall screws/nails are about 8" apart, so I move the magnet in an up and down 12" pattern across the wall until it finds a nail or screw to stick to. Finds the frankfurter every time. Easy Peasy Don't we all have a Cousin Bert somewhere in the family tree? He's a real Hot Dog

Great video! I was all onboard with the saw, until you threw it… I normally don’t throw my tools, but in a shop I used to work in said, “watch for flying hammers!” I do have grand kids now and they are harder on my tools (one day to be their tools) they still give me a funny look when I tell them they will need that someday. Hey Bert, we got a great hot dog shop here in Hanover, “the Famous Hot Weiner” (and no, I did not spell it wrong. Long story) they have hot dogs, hamburgers, eggs, all kinds of sandwiches with their famous chili and onions and mustard. But they don’t have frankfurters! I need a new t-bev… thanks again!

Frankfurter. I love how you found the issue with the recip saw and told your honest opinion. Recip saws have to be durable and powerful. I also love that stud finder. I bought what I thought was a better than average unit a few years ago and not only has it let me down but it takes 9 volt batteries. I’ll be picking up the one you reviewed before I install my overhead garage storage this fall. I would love to hear your opinions on overhead garage storage racks/shelves. Thanks as always.

Frankfurter I love that you take the time to explain they whys and why’s nots of the tools you’re r reviewing. The last tool that I bought was upon your recommendation it’s the ALLOYMAN sander/polisher. I’m a recent follower as I am starting a small woodworking business out in CA and that laser level is 1 of small pieces that is missing from my woodworking tool arsenal. It would make a great addition ! I’ve always loved woodworking even as a kid, my first wood-shop project in high school was a six drawer dresser that lasted me thru my first marriage 😂.
