@@Lukeout007yeah, I actually found him on KZbin years ago and his build videos got me started with woodworking. And now I own my own woodworking business. I do appreciate the tool videos but I also really wish he’d get back into building. I mean he says he uses each tool but if he’s not building anything, how’s he testing all these tools? And how can he appreciate any of these features if he doesn’t use them because he doesn’t build anything lol. Here I am trying to make a custom cabinet set with shelving to fit an elliptical or unequal curve under my staircase. Theres a couple of tools that would make it so much easier for me, like a router table, but it seems the projects I accept are all non standard, as of late. Curved cabinet sets seem to be not fun to make, I am finding out. Maybe if it was a true circular curve I’d have less of a splitting headache figuring out how to make this look good… but the back is 118 1/2”, needs to fit things that are 17” in depth. It needs a countertop with bull nosing to match the other closet spaces (even though I’m making it out of much nicer materials, its all gonna be primed and painted to match those as well. I am never doing this again.

Be careful how you use digital tools, as their accuracy isn't what they seem. For instance, the Klein Angle Finder is only accurate to +/-0.2 degrees. For carpentry that's fine, but if you're making a hexgonal box you'll likely end up with gaps. Same for the digital ruler, the laser part is only accurate to 1/16" and the digital part only to 1/32" - and that for something costing hundreds of dollars.

Mr. 731, Howdy Sir.... I love your enthusiasm in your videos. I Truly Do. The reviews are, well, reviews. Good to have because a review in of itself "IS" a Tool. That Tape measure though. Really??? A $400 tape measure that does the Thinking and Math for you?? I don't think so!! It's items and tools like these which help to undermine the ART of Woodcraft and the Skill. Much like the Sawstop. If people (newbies) hop on board the "I'll do the thinking and Safety for you" Train then take that away from them one day, tool breaks down (electronics) they would have learned NOTHING and gained NO Experience from it's use. In short...these types of tools make people dumb. As an example: My daughter (21 and just became a Mom) is incapable of backing out a vehicle from a driveway WITHOUT a backup camera. Though I've tried and tried to teach her to use the mirrors, I even taped paper over the camera....she just can't do it, gets mad, says this is stupid and STOPS trying to learn. Well, I can't twist her arm and force her to learn. I can only guide her. This is what THAT tool is going to do to people....again, same as Sawstop. People become SOOO reliant on that "Safety Net" that they will absolutely STOP and refuse to do the job/work without it. This is a Terrible Mindset. I absolutely disagree with anyone purchasing this contraption. Spend $10 for a regular tape measure and do the math yourself. Unplug the "Tech" and LEARN to Think and Solve the problem yourself. Just imagine the kids of a "crafter" whom never used any other tool but these "Techy" tools....What will THEY learn? Put them in a Shop with tools from the 50's to 2000's and they won't be able to do anything at all. That's very very Sad. 😢

WHATT!!!! I use a tape measure every single day, and I would NEVER pay $300 for one! $100 would be pushing it I just can't see EVER dropping $300

I'll wait for the affordable knockoff version!

There's a Triton model of that sander as well if you're leery of Wen's quality, Rockler sells baseplates for it so you can mount it into their router tables. The skil's a neat tool, but yeah, the 90 degree thing would make it really attractive as an alternative to the Mil 12v installation driver. As it is now I think I'll stick with using my drill/driver combo set.

Skil driver seems awesome but has serious runout. But the price I like it.. but still wobble/runout is serious... Oh also it is seriously for under DIY users.. do not buy if you're hobby user.

The problem I see with the Mileseey tape measure is that they didn't think about people who are color blind. That is a lot of green and red.

I'm red green color blind and didn't have any issues with it

@@731Woodworksthat is incredible, my spouse is red / green color blind as well and he can not see the red light on lasers. He asks me to read red/green for him often. 😂

"Most people don't use the belt sander".... speak for yourself... that is what I used on my Ridgid 90% of the time. Bought two Wen tools a band saw... used it twice and engine burned.... also bought a bench belt sander... same thing. NEVER BUYING ANOTHER WEN TOOL EVER!!!

$300 for a tape measure? Not even if it made my breakfast in the morning.

For the Skil drill/driver, there is a bit for a drill that has the flip for the bit and screw bit, so this is available for all drills

Sorry, but I really hate that tape measure. Talk about overcomplicated, overthought and unnecessary.

WORX introduced their Switchdriver in 2015. Skil didn't innovate here, they copied.
