I don’t think many people will realise the significance of that mate. Catching 1 is very special. Catching one inshore is rare. Catching 2 in 1 session is incredible but as part of a double hookup solo on camera it’s got to be 1 in a million.

Have a cheap blue and silver spoon that’s nailed me more good sized mackerel pier fishing than I can shake a stick at. They give you cracking sport on light tackle. Daughter and I used to give lessons to the holiday anglers on gutting, filleting and cooking fish as they were mostly townies doing self catering and fishing with the sets you can buy in most seaside gift shops. We both loved every minute of it and hopefully they did too!🐟

What a treat that was, any of those Pollock would grace a table but John only keeps what he needs. VERY alluring... WHICH brings me onto a question for FL & knowledgeable sea anglers. Can fish see in colour? Early on in the video FL mentioned he was fishing in about 62 feet of water/nearly 19 metres, so sunlight penetrates down to this depth, I assume. DOES the colour of lure make a difference? I noticed FL was using a light coloured lure.

I used to go to seaacres at kennack sands,Kuggar,in the summer.Fro fishing i wuld take the coastpath southwards to the second bay at porth tesco,passing the first bay on route ,i saw a large Seal lying on its back ,in the solitude of the peacefullness ,enjoyng the brilliant sunshine i crept passed not to disturb his sunbathing,.something i can picture for the rest of my life
