@@tammiebroggins so sorry to hear that. I've never held any animosity towards my birth parents. I didn't have the easiest life. I was picked on terribly for my race, looks and cut hair. My birth mom wants nothing to do with me but I'm ok with that. I'm not going to force a relationship on anyone. Hopefully one day their anger will lessen and they'll be able to understand your choices.

@@traceybc73. You have a beautiful spirit and positive, healthy outlook. I raised my biological daughters and thought I did an incredibly good job as a single mother. They always had a closer relationship with their father and blamed me for the divorce. We were relatively close until they became mothers, in their 30s. They have since eliminated me from their lives. I try to be like you. I am doing my best to not judge them. I never felt that someone should be forced into a relationship based on shared genetic material. They have every right to their feelings and should have the right to decide with whom they want to associate with. Interestingly, it is my friends who have a hard time with it. I’m glad that Monday when I was driving to NJ to make arrangements someone was having a great happy day meeting someone, a part of them, they didn’t know was missing. I'm not sure what the problem is but I'm guessing that they're trying to help them be adopted. People are likely to hesitate about adopting two children but they also might not want to adopt one of them, feeling like they should stay together with parents who want to take them both. In other words, it might make it more complicated and people will hesitate to adopt!! So they just hide it. Not fair at all, adopted children need to have access to the truth about their backgrounds.

Suddenly I get an email from her asking if I was adopted because she believed we shared a father.... and he only had a couple of months to live and wanted to meet the daughter he'd never been told about. He wasn't even sure which my Bio mother was. Eventually I figured who my Bio mother may be but she died some years ago. I haven't felt like I should disturb her children from her marriage.
