Tim, wonderful video! But can I make one suggestion? For years now, I have frequented buffets, and after witnessing all the hundreds of people handling tongs and serving spoons, I never ever use my hands to eat unless I’ve made a trip to the washroom first. Once I’ve washed my hands *thoroughly,* THEN and only THEN do I feel it’s safe to use my hands to eat. My routine dates back decades pre-pandemic. Just looking out for you. Nothing could be worse, after having a delightful meal at a buffet than dealing with a stomach virus the next day.

@@janvdb9258 it’s true. Some do, some don’t. Nevertheless, I’m never satisfied unless I’ve had an opportunity to wash my hands with soap and warm water for no less than 20 seconds. Call it OCD if you will. I just think a little due diligence is called for when it comes to buffets. Again, my opinion has nothing to do with COVID-19. I’ve had that several times now, and it is what it is. It’s stomach viruses that I dread. No way I’m pigging out on all that good food only to have to commit it to the sewage treatment facility before I’ve even had a chance to digest it!

We were there Jan 6th and I knew the line got long from videos so we got in line at 230 in the afternoon and there were probably 50 people already in front of us. My husband and I tagged teamed the line and we finally got in the buffet around 430 (half hour after it opened). It was definitely worth the wait for the oysters and crab alone. Soooo good 😊

That looked so awesome beyond words. You have a preference for the same foods I enjoy. Biggest difference being that I do not drink alcohol beverages and I simply must have coffee at lunch when I eat pie (I'll take skim or 1% at night to avoid caffeine). South Point is one of m favorite places to stay now. Great service, friendly people, great food, and nice spacious rooms. My favorite is the $6 steak/eggs at midnight and the $1.25 hotdogs during the day (near sportsbook).

Jackie is back at the buffet but sadly she is not on the seafood station anymore. She was on the carving station last time we went. I was told that management wanted her moved out of the seafood as she gave out too much crab legs and they lost money.

My family loves South Point casino. That casino really caters to guests. We get comped free rooms, food, and play The Friday seafood night buffet is magnificent. But my family really loves the Coronado restaurant $6.49 steak n eggs. But my favorite is the Oyster Bar. They got the best Clam Chowder and fish n chips that I have ever tried.
