Incredible Video as Giant Manta Ray Asks Divers for help

Incredible footage of an enormous manta ray swimming up to a group of snorkelers on Ningaloo Reef in Australia.
It singles out wildlife guide Jake Wilton and passes close to him several times before he spots that it has fish hooks close to its eye.
The giant animal, who is nicknamed Freckles, lets Jake get close enough to remove them.

This proofs that fish do feel pain/discomfort from hooks that penetrate their body. I don't understand why we pretend that these creatures don't feel anything, while we know that life is incredibly sensitive to stimuli from their environment. I think it's ignorance from our side, something like 'we don't feel the hook penetrating their bodies, so they probably don't feel it either' kind of nonsense.

You don't need a random youtube video to prove it, it's an established scientific fact that fishes feel pain, the only reason why human don't care is because fishes can't scream

If you show to somebody a mammal screaming in pain, 99% of them would be horrified. If you show them a fish wiggling out of the water suffocating, most of them won't care 🤷🏻‍♂️

It is unscientific to suggest that all fish possess enough brain power to feel pain. A few of them do, like manta rays and octopus which are very intelligent creatures. But smaller undeveloped fish absolutely do not have that same brain power.

Freckles knows the fashion of having earrings, piercings, hooks all stuck in your head are looking old and out dated its just not cool anymore.
