Best one yet! You can actually hear the flail chains hitting the wood.I second the notion you need to patent your "grapple cam". Got a question...... Would it be worthwhile to maybe grind up the flail tailings in say a tub grinder? You could make garden or flower bed mulch. Also for you or Mike did Morebark build one with a short apron with drag chain. I seem to remember ours had one. I wish I could remember the model no. It was a whole tree machine. This was in 1984. A LONG time ago. Again another good one. Hope everyone at home is still on the mend.

Just a terrific video - about a man and machine dream team. That was a great video and I love how you control the view by rotating the grapple. Seems like a lot of slender timber and nothing much in the way of size = lots of trash and reduced output in terms of chips but sugar, that outfit can handle a lot of wood. I bet the cutter buncher guy had a hard tedious time preparing all that stuff!

John does the season change the way or the quality of the debarking of the trees? I know the bark comes off some trees better in the springtime when the sap is flowing. But in the spring and summer you also have to deal with leaves which you don't have in the winter.

cool cool and thrice cool. Question, what realistically is the smallest diameter of limb that will make it all the way to the chipper disc, cause surely the chains must smash the little ones to dust?

What are the vent looking things on the mouth of the chipper for?
@leebarnes6557 жыл бұрын
LED light ports for night time work. 4/25/17 video shows them from behind the wings and there is another set of 'vents' blasting to the side so the skidder can see that area too. And then behind that is a light box with two decent sized cables coming out of it. We are seeing the daylight as it comes in the side vents and hits the floor of the light box - makes it look like just the other side of the wing instead of the insides of a light box. Talk about a headlight grill -- nothing is getting to that light bulb.
