I like your pens. I like the holes the chickens made on the ground. I suggest looking into black soldier flies for chicken feed. I am researching on that as I am planning on self sufficiency. Thank you for this video.

I no longer raise game fowl, but I did enjoy the dark rich yolk of the eggs........ NOT my favorite meat bird. Unlike you, my favorite roosters were the yeller-legged hatch. I loved the grays, but too many of mine were man-fighters and I got tired of my legs bleeding ever time I turned my back on them. Here's some useless trivia that you may already know....... Abe Lincoln got the nickname "Honest Abe" from being the most impartial chicken fight judge. And that's a fact. Long live Bobby Boles.

Ive never eaten one of these but the eggs i like. Several of these bird i got from chicken fighters because they couldnt handle them and i like a bird that gives me a challenge. All my kelsos are yellow legged but for some reason i like the dark legs.

I would love to have some more muletrain, I had bought two pure hens I couldn't get a pure rooster I've always liked em so I ended up crossing them with my dink fair sweaters, well they laid a hole bunch and starting setting while my Lil girl was being born, when I got home something had killed both of em. They was blue legged and real high combed beautiful. So now I can't find any the guy quit and they was as pure as they get some of the roosters come blue legged there the best ones in my opinion. I incubated those eggs and boy they was beautiful also couldn't be beat much, have to whip every feather on em. So I was wondering would u have any extra train eggs. I raise em love to see em grow and it gives me something to do everyday, but please I sure would like to have some. Can u please get back to me on em thanks..

One other thing your Kelso what kind are they because u can sure find em around here but ain't much good. I like crossing mine with DocRobinson hatch they just make fine birds if the Kelso part is good, hey and I'm just like u I just raise em to have something to do every day. I just hope u get this and maybe let an ol Kentucky boy maybe get some of those muletrain blood the ol boy I bought those two hens from wouldn't sell me none of his roosters but like I said I did get two of the hens, he was fighting his every weekend and winning, good for him that's not what I need some eggs for I just love the bloodline, my papaw had em and got me started in the sport, I loved it right away because he knew what to leave pure and what needed to be crossed. I started out feeding, then how to hold em properly, to going threw and finding the ones that was ready took me a while lol, then went to the keep, then finally handling in the pit. Had some fine birds, he knew Jonny Jumper had some of his and many others. I myself found and meet James Sylvester one of the best chicken guys I've took advice from boy he's got good Grey's and now he has amazing hatch, but papaw said they will never come as those Docs. A long while after he had passed I got hooked up with dink fair, pap had heard of him just never got to meet him, there is where i found this man Sweater, amazing pure, they cross so well with anything that's true by the way I was 10 now I'm 42 so I've got to here some of the best talk, gave me pointers, but after so long I've gotten to were I don't like to enter any anymore I done well, so now I just watch em grow. Thought maybe that's how u felt i watch u offen love it when u talk chickens cause u seem to know what your talking about and probably got some good birds, I know those trains are and I don't know we're they came from. Please let me know. Shawn Bennett,

I tried to keep chickens locked up. Their eggs just weren't tasting like they should. Now, so far, all my girls go back to the house at night. The roosters are locked up in there until I decide to have some more chicks. I give them some biden weed and grass and weeds when I can.
@SpiritoftheOutdoors11 ай бұрын
Anytime you have to keep them locked away add fresh plants to there pens. I pull weeds from around my buildings and pens and throw them in there and they eat it all and it cleans up my yard
