​​@@TheLifeloverOwlum... I think you misread this... 4-year-old comment 😂 it's not a question like "God why can't they write a bridge???" It's... "Oh my GOD they write the most amazing bridges." Because they do. It would be absurd to say they write bad bridges 😂 I'm just gonna keep gushing off this. There's not a single bad Incubus song. There's never filler - no filler songs, no wasted moments, even when they're jamming. They use 100% of everybody 100% of the time. The core 3 - Jose, Mike, and Brandon - have been doing this together for 33 years. They "wrote" a huge chunk of material just jamming during sound checks when they toured so often they had no time for formal writing or studio time. And they each possess an insane amount of technical skill, creativity, and artistry. They instinctually feel each other, know how to complement each melody, each twang, each groove, when to shift from 0 to 100 gear and back with no warning... They could probably each play in separate places 500 miles apart and react reflexively to one another. So... There might be songs people like more than others. I guess there might even be people who don't like Incubus bc it's just not their thing (which... I can't imagine but it's possible). But nobody can say they're BAD. You'd have to be deaf, delusional, or a liar to claim anything they do is objectively poor.

I did not get a notification, but I do watch this live performance frequently enough that I was bound to see this eventually. Currently learning how to play drums on this song for a cover band I'm in, so came back here for some inspo.
