This isn't really about the faith of the Seven, but I have to say I genuinely appreciate the consistent effort and gratitude you show your viewers, regardless of how popular your channel has become. I've noticed that a lot of of the questions you get are beyond your ability to answer, short of being psychic, but you have the increasingly rare ability to showcase your knowledge and intellect with such grace that it adds a lot of credibility to your thoughts and opinions, and even guesses. You also seem quite humble, and don't gorge your ego on compliments you get, whilst genuinely returning the praise to those who offered it. It's easy to get jaded in a world where sincerity and integrity seem to be a lost art, so simply knowing that people like you still exist revives my hope for our species. Seven blessings to you and more for sharing your kindness, knowledge and efforts with us here. 🙏🏻

One of the worst things the show did was have Cersei essentially blow up The Vatican and face no consequences.

Becoming a Maester seems to be like going to college, but your goal is usually to become a Professor. So it seems like something you do "for life" because the end goal is usually to become a Maester. It's like college because you study specific subjects with the goal of getting a passing grade (a link in your chain). But going to The Citadel to TRY to become a Maester is voluntary for most people. A couple of times we hear of the children of nobility being sent to the Citadel. But they go because their parents tell them they have to, not because there is some law saying they have to stay at The Citadel.

It seems to be the absolute be-all or end-all of intellectual life, aswell - in Westeros at least. So it's to be expected that there are detractors like Marwyn. I'd be surprised if there weren't more.

Totally not related but I still think that Bronn is a Raynes from Castimere. Just gonna keep bringing it up!.

"Bronn, son of..." *"You wouldn't know him."*
@Yusufal-stalin4 жыл бұрын
why
@daviddynmo48654 жыл бұрын
@@Yusufal-stalin well the fact that his house is never yet revealed, and he comes into service with the lannisters taking everything he can from them like hes owed it. To the naming of lolys son Tyrion, the only Lannister that even treated him well to stay, he now has his castle (stokeworth) and a band for merry loyal men to him. I believe he is a Reynes and will let it all out at some point. Again just a guess... but would be a great twist... cheers
@jamesburden12123 жыл бұрын
Interesting but I still think he's just a lowborn sellsword. As for taking everything he can get from them, that's something a sellsword would do. A reign seeking revenge would probably have something a little more ambitious than that in mind. I mean it's not like Bronn is bankrupting them.
@gwenpendragon3163 жыл бұрын
we haven't found his house yet because he doesn't have one. there's no mystery here. for him to be secretly whoever seriously undermines his character, and there's no evidence it'd be the case. if GRRM reveals Bronn is secretly a noble i'll be severely disappointed.

What is the hand gesture (forehead to lips) which Arogorn uses ( as when Boremor dies), come from?
@jolinefields3460 Жыл бұрын
I’ve seen this gesture (or similar the touching of forehead to lips to heart and every version of it in so very many shows especially in fiction, sci-fi etc and it’s just a nice touch to see that show of respect and reverence to whatever the actual religion is and can see it being compared with the Christian/Catholic sign of the cross blessing. Oneself “in the name of Father, son and Holy Spirit” . Even though there’s typically nothing acknowledging belief in a one true God that exists and manifests in the these three forms showing a desire to be worshipped explicitly and broken down into a fathomable depiction for common humanity to grasp)…. But in so many other shows the mind heart spirit or body and soul or head and heart is very easily interpreted way to show the respect and reverence and something deep within that values spiritual awareness… more to this gig than just a once around lifetime experience and then nothing more. Whatever compels society to understand what you do in that lifetime has consequences and allows for aspiration beyond the mortal coil.

Finally, somebody in a livestream brings up Ser Bonifer Hasty! He is EXTREMELY pious, perhaps even regressively so. And he expresses respect for Randyll Tarly's style - he says that between him and Lord Randyll, they'll sweep the region of "sinners," whatever the hell that might mean. My basic theory for Ser Bonifer is that his force will either become yet another renegade group roving the Riverlands, or the Faith will have a seriously powerful fortress in Harrenhal.
