Looks like the ss unit has recessed quick connections. I hope they update the black unit with recessed quick connections. The black growler bag would be cool with orange straps to match the fire can. Ignik is missing an opportunity to sell a storage bag for the Fire Can. It'd keep the lava rock dust contained. Maybe even some padding in the bag to keep the Fire Can safe and prevent it from damaging other things in my rig. A Fire Can is definitely on my wish list.

A recessed connection would be nice, it could certainly fit a few more places in my Fj that way. A bag would actually be really nice, I totally agree with that! Hopefully they read this.

Yeah they probably won’t speak too much about it until 2023. They don’t want to lose sales because people want the new version.

Love our Ignik Firebox, but can’t see paying the exorbitant prices for your padded cases and propane tanks. Will always use your FireCan, but have to buy the accessories from Lavabox, sorry 🤷‍♂️

You can refill the 1lb green propane tank canaster just buy an adapter for a 20lb tank

True, but they start to leave from the valve that has to be pulled and I’d personally rather have 1 tank I can stop at nearly any gas station and fill up. I do carry a small one I fill myself as a backup/fire pit only

not sure why these guys keep saying the little propane bottles are single use. they’re easily refillable with a $10 adapter and I’ve had some for over 20 years.

Lavabox is Colorado based and does this and more. The flame on the ignik is not nearly as strong

I like the fire an a bit more. All you need to do is buy a new home with 10psi. I think 20psi is a bit much. Almost dangerous. Haha

Lavabox is a bit too much for it's size if that makes sense. I'd rather have a more controlled larger fire from the lava box. The firecan is nice because it's only really meant for like 2 maybe 3 people when you are actually out there. The lavabox can be too much since one gust and those flames are right on you.

Just bought the stainless fire can 2023 . I'm kind of having difficulty to get a fire using the adjustment knob. It says on the instruction after having the fire lit of the lighter and placing it close to the burner. Then you can turn on the fire adjustment knob that is on and hold it 5 seconds so the safety switch sensor will not turn off the fire. Thus it will have continuous gas flow in the burner. If not hold for 5 secs properly the fire will just die.. so basically I have to use two hands to get this fire can works. . Just waiting for 5 seconds hold makes it annoying as there are times the burner will still not lit up after the suggested 5 seconds time. . I would even do 10 secs hold just to make sure the fire will not die. But it will still die sometimes. The old school design was great. Simple start by turning the propane gas on and then use a lighter.. . Sigh. Pro ;The esthetics and compact design still a winner. Compact and easily portable. The cons: Just that fire control knob sensor holding it 5 seconds to get the fire is the cons I found at this new design. All customer wants safety dealing fire. I suggest the more simpler to start the fire going the better. Hopefully if ignik reads this. I'm thinking if I will return this by tomorrow at MEC edmonton and ill just buy the old one.. sigh Thank you kindly reading this.
