@@thehomiedan6378 it means that pixel 6 and 7 series were having 5.15 kernel and now they have 6.1. No other brands have given any major kernel updates so far. And google has now changed that. A newer version of kernel will bring slightly better battery life and significantly improve performance and overall smoothness. Also better compatibility of newer apps. And a great advantage for custom roms. (Custom roms have already pushed 6.1kernel update because one of the roms out there called HelluvaOS used kernel from p9 on p7 and p6 series. And after that every other roms started using theirs)

The 1 week battery usage stats was there before the update as long as you don't charge up to 100% in that time... Then battery optimization and limiting charge to 80% is now gone

@@abdullahbinshahid3199 better software optimization, more up to date drivers, better heath management, battery life improvements. Kernel is up to date with P9 series, pretty much having the exact same optimizations just for each tensor from GS101 (G1) to zuma (G3)

well. we know google likes half baked releases. It took them almost a year to sync the DND between the watch and the phone... Let's not forget the Pixel Pro fold that can't be charged on the Pixel wireless stand because the charging coils are positioned too low :) i'm sure the list can go on for days. The google doesn't have the ecosystem mindset yet.

I ended up switching off the different Focus modes on my iPhone, unfortunately I'm not as regimented as I would like to think and it just became frustrating not getting certain notifications, the simple one button do not disturb feature is something I liked about pixel phones. On or off - that's all I need tbh

Regarding the media notification tap issue, it only happens with KZbin (music). On other apps like Spotify, pocket casts or pulsar for example, tapping the notification will go straight to the app.

Wish there was a volume slider along with the brightness slider. When you're using with one hand, pressing volume button is a hefty thing to do and that the cover makes it too hard. On top of that you have disorient the hand and the mobile to reach the buttons. With one-handed mode on, swipe down from the bottom, swipe down for the notification panel and change the volume. Believe me that would upgrade our pixel experience.

Qpr1 is finished and is now stable, and will be released this december as a feature drop, as qprs are feature drop betas. Qpr2 is now the new beta for marchs feature drop which will come with the new kernal update and new features that wont be introduced in this beta for a few weeks/next few .1 or 2 qpr2 beta updates coming soon in this qpr2 beta.

The DND modes are a disappointment the Focus Modes on the IOS are much more powerful and useful. It’s surprising that the only two ways to trigger DND is by a scheduled time or a calendar event that was available under DND anyway. Why can’t I have the DND mode triggered when opening a particular app. For example I want my phone to go to DND if I am watching videos in You tube , or listening to music etc.

These updates are not worth all this hype. It's just version number change with a little style changes. The last time I was hyped for an update was from 4 to 5. Everything after the so-called material design has pretty much remained the same.
