Interesting dryer. I never knew such an appliance existed. Don't see them here in the U.S. And..now I know what those clamps are called....Jubilee clamps for dryer vents ! Thank you!

I lived a laundrymatt life for awhile were they had extractors to use before the dry clothes dried so fast, later with a portable washer /spinner (two compartments) loved washing diapers in it could rinse over and over

Any ideas of the electric costs? We've moved over to a Dehumidify for drying clothes, but I wondered if this would be better for drying towels

This will be more efficient than a tumble dryer or a dehumidifier as it only spins the clothes, it doesn't dry them though

Thanks for the video. If I chose the gravity fed machine, would I still be able to fill it up with water first before I spun it, or would the water come straight out the bottom the moment I put water inside the drum. Thanks.

You wouldn't normally add water to these machines as they are spinners to try and extract water from clothes

@@lords-electrical In the video you said you can rinse clothes in the machine by adding 5 litres of water and switching it on. So which answer are you sticking with, the one where you say you CAN add water, or the one where you say water shouldn’t be added? 😂

Hello, I need a spin dryer for things like a medium sized sleeping bag but don't know what might be too bulky for it. I've been looking at the gravity version.

The spin dryer here would be too small for a sleeping bag. You would ideally need to use a washing machine to spin it. Having washed many sleeping bags over the years (i'm a scout leader) i mainly wash them and spin it to get the majority of the water out in the washing machine, then hang out to dry. You don't want to spin the sleeping bag too much as it can deform the structure of the sleeping bag.

The nisdp429 pumps the water out so if you have a sink outlet then it's ideal. The 428 model is ideal if you just want to put a bowl underneath the front to collect the water

They do have a spin cycle, but some people want to get more water extracted from their clothes after using the washing machine. It can help especially if you don't use a tumble dryer.

There is still a market for them for people that want to get water out of the clothes very quickly. It also extracts a lot more water from clothes than a freestanding washing machine will do.

When their washing machine has developed a fault, as mine has a the inconvenient time when the virus has struck. I have one due for delivery today, so I can hand wash and rinse without having dripping washing everywhere.

@Manic Miner My late mum used to use one when washing clothes in the bath when the washing machine went wrong time and time again. Now I have a flat and an LG washing machine with 1400 RPM spin. I'm seriously considering getting one of these to help my clothes set quicker as I have to hang the clothes up and my flat suffers from damp.
