I am a retired carpenter but recently to a full time gig as a school custodian. I generally walk briskly around 16,000 steps ( around 4 to 5 miles at my pace ) my feet were in pain my first week or two. It all changed when I purchased mine. I did it mostly for comfort but bonus is the really do protect. For a guy the worked for 30 years in work boots, I was only too happy to see them go. I will likely purchase another pair or too.

I just bought an all black mesh pair. I really like the look! They also offer the quick pull elastic laces, for an extra 10 bucks. I'm primarily going to use them as a gym shoe. When you're working with heavy dumbbells it's nice to have a steel-toe. My only gripe is shipping during the pandemic takes forever, so just be aware of that.

I've been looking for a steel toe shoe to wear to the gym. For the life of me, I can't figure out why OSHA doesn't require it. I think they should market it as a weight room shoe.

I don't think OSHA would regulate or require the use of ppe used by gym users unless someone is being paid to workout. The real question is why gyms don't require hard toe shoes when near weights for liability reasons.

I have a similar pair, but with a much simpler look. I love them! I was looking for a simple pair of shoes, then I found out there are ones with steel toes in them aaand I got 2 pairs right away. Just for personal use, I like the feel of steel / composite toes. I wouldn't work in them, prefer boots. They came in camo' and are holding surprisingly well, no issues in months at all. It's the only chinese footwear I own, but I got to give it to them, they are good! Greetings from Hungary and thank you the video. Very nice studio indeed!

I've been curious about these so thank you for the review. I gotta say the fact you wore these for 60 days and the tread wore that much is crap! I work on smooth sometimes wet floors moving crates and pallets, I could see a bad slip with these shoes.

Pretty sure there is a supervisor at work who wears this shoe. I personally have a proper set of steel toe boots, but I might get a pair of these so I have something to wear when my boots are getting a resole and since they can be found for less than $30 it isn't going to break the bank(I load trailers for UPS so the footwear requirements aren't super strict)

I really like your 'studio.' You have an industrial flavor for your subjective topics (work boots), and adds to the integrity, especially for newbys who are just tuning in to you. My question here is, what is the weight of these shoes. I sometimes do not get to drive as much as I am suposed to, so I am in the warehouse more often. Meaning, I am on my feet a full 8 hours per day. Do you feel refreshed after a full day walking, or do they start to wear you down? I am seriously looking to replace my Omnis in the warehouse. One more thing, if you ever do the Thorogood warehouse visit, let me know. Remember, you have a fish frye coming there!!

So question, I work on a group home where I'm on my feet for 10+ hour shifts and I need a good reliable shoe. The steel toe is nice because having a 200+lbs person in a wheelchair run over your toes is not fun. How's the impact resistance when you walk? How does it leave your back feeling after a long day? The Soles were already showing massive wear in 60 days? I'll pass. But thank you all the same. I'm still loving my Hytest boots. I've had the Hytest for 2 jobs (3 months total) and they are still in great shape. Keep the reviews coming.

What boot would you recommend for a garbage man? Something waterproof/composite toe/ankle support/lightweight/ suitable for miles of walking. Most workboots feel like cinder blocks and aren't waterproof. Thanks!

For us carpenters some days we just do trim or if I need to get up on a roof and a clunky boot is just a little too much this shoe is great but on a day to day basis a full boot it much better

I just bought a pair of indestructible shoes. The shoes look nice but as soon as I put it on I could tell there was something wrong. The left shoe was poorly made & where the steel toe started I could feel a protrusion into my toe. Even though the item is clearly defective, they won't give me a full refund, making me pay restock fee. I feel I shouldn't have to pay for a manufacturing defect. Tried to get the company to waive the fee but no luck. Tells me they don't stand behind their product. I'm not buying anything from them again and will advise the same to everyone else I know.

Sorry to hear you got ripped off. Indestructible Shoes is a bit of a scam. They don't make or design their own shoes. They order shoes from China which are made by Chinese OEM called Shandong Gaomi Jubang Shoes. Its a completely lazy rebranding as they just put the shoes in their box. You can easily order the same exact shoes yourself from Alliexpress or Amazon for way less. What funny is they will straight up lie and call these other shoes "clones".

Ok boot guy i have a good question. I want a 6 inch boot made from leather that is mostly waterproof but doesnt have to be perfect. I work on concrete all day and my feet tend to hurt no matter what i wear. What would be your choice for a boot that i could wear all day and have comfort if thats possible. Money is no object neither because i will pay for good boots always have. Oh and they need to be slip resistant too and steel toe.

Brother im gonna tell u ive had boots from 100 to 180 $ and when my planter fitaities how ever u spell it. Hit my heal and bottom of my feet made it hard to walk . So with that said i went back to die hart boots because the soul is super hard and the way i walk was eating the sides causing my problems. But more importantly i went to get my custom foot insouls for my feet . I tell you no more pain all is great.

Hey boot guy i need a boot thats steel possibly composite toe thats light weight and can be worn 12 or more hours on hard concrete. What would be your idea for the best boot. Dont care the maker or country of origin and dont care the price i just want a home run boot that will keep my feet comfortable all 12 hours and then some if i have to on solid hard concrete floors.

TheBootGuy I ordered a pair of the Ryder design after seeing multiple adds on instagram. I planned on using them as work shoes at a CNC shop on days when it’s real hot. The shoes took over a month to be delivered. Once the box actually arrived and was crushed and ripped but who knows whose fault that is. The shoes were not the quality I was hoping for. They were advertised as waterproof but the shoe was made of mesh lol. The steel toe was ridiculously uncomfortable. No lie the no tie lace actually fell off the first time I put them on. I know I sound like a complainer but I’m really not I just like comfortable footwear but these shoes were horrible. I wear the Ariat turbos now and love them.
