Wow! Sandeep, had you not been a diplomat you could have easily been a television journalist....or an actor! Dr. Samandari and his family's fabulous journey is so inspiring, and somehow, liberating. He is as chic as the L'Opera chain that he has created. Fantastic episode! Congratulations.

A remarkable story, beautifully presented! Mr. Kazem Samandari who I have known personally, is a wonderful gentleman. To me, he represents the quintessential Bahai - gentle, conscientious and utterly humane. As to L'Opera - having been to some of the finest patisseries and cafes in Europe and elsewhere, I would rate it among the best that I have been to, anywhere in the world. L'Opera is truly of global gourmet standard. And I was delighted to learn that they source their chocolate, butter and cream entirely from India (had assumed that their chocolate and butter were imported, given the outstanding quality of L'Opera's products). Surely this says a lot about the quality of products in India, and in a way, it is not surprising given that certain cheese, chocolate and alcohol produced in India have now made their global presence felt, winning prestigious international competitions lately. It is India's gain that people like Mr. Samandari and his family have made it their home. And this is hoping that India continues to attract the best minds and the best workers - the best talent from rest of the world, to make our glorious country their home.

Sandeepji, thank you for this excellent tribute. When you meet this family next time please ask them some questions about the Baha'i faith, may be something about the Orthodox Baha'is and the court case between the Orthodox and the Haifan Baha'is in Chicago.
