I am an Indian but I have lived in the US for over a decade now and I have made several observations. One observation is that there are so many social problems in the US and the West that most people in India are not aware about. There is a huge crisis going on in the West when it comes to gender, dating, marriage, family, etc. The family structure here is completely broken and the native white population is not even having enough kids to sustain its population so they are slowly going extinct and getting replaced by immigrant communities that value family values. India should not blindly copy the West because there are a lot of problems here. Many Indian youth idolize the West because it is economically rich and Hollywood is powerful, but there are deeper societal issues in the West that will lead to the fall of their civilization.

Maybe it’s because of the Caste system in India. Arranged marriages are almost extinct in Bangladesh. Love marriage is seem practical here because there's lesser risk than marrying unknown person and bride groom can negotiate the wedding cost,gifts etc which is a relief for their families.
