INDIA'S BEST State & Food! (KOCHI, KERALA)

I had been in Mumbai for about a week but got on a flight and headed out to the south part of India and the famous state of Kerala. Mumbai had 21 million people and lots of pollution but this place seemed very nice and green. I was excited to also start my travels up the mountains to a city called Munnar after my trip around the city of Kochi. I had been a bit inspired by other vloggers in India like world nomac and harry jaggard. Thanks to them for showing interesting parts of India also. After Munnar I will be going back to the coast again probably! In the coming videos I will also try the Kerala Beef fry and famous beef dishes like kerala beef curry.

As said at 6:56 ,the unique thing about kerala is its people..you might see people approaching you, asking where are you from,how are you etc etc....don't think everyone who approaches you want your money ....you might feel weird but it is quite normal there...people are very open and is always curious..I've observed this in other youtubers vlogs in kerala also...like from luke damant and worldnomac..

I was in a western country and i found it very strange when u r at the bus station, waiting for a bus, or sitting inside a train, people don't talk, not even smile. Here, When u see someone coming from the opposit side, u say how r u or smile. May be not common in big cities, but in kerala we do that. . When u go for grocery shopping, cloths shopping, we talk to the sales girls. When u r waiting for a bus, u talk or atleast smile to the fellow passengers.

it is monsoon season currently in kerala..so there is rain now(this was the not the perfect time to visit), Also that uncle at 18:29 was selling groundnuts...thats why when you didnt take it..he gave you the money back. the word kerala means 'the land of coconuts' , thats why you see coconuts everywhere..it is also known as god's own country ,..vasco da gama landed here in search of finding a trade route between europe and india..there are some nordic people living in kerala Don't forget to try kerala porotta with some curry...you'll love it...hope you enjoy and stay safe.

You must take a houseboat trip into the backwaters of Kerala. Also must visit Munnar and hike through a tea plantation. A couple of years back I stayed at a home stay called Flower valley Plantation Homestay away from the commercial places It was a lovely experience. Close to Tea plantations, waterfalls and mountains.

When you were having the fish curry I was praying you don't eat that black thing....it's called 'Kodam Pulli' also called 'Garcinia Cambogia' in English. This ingredient gives the Kerala fish curry it's distinct tangy taste. It takes a day for it to completely extract it's tanginess to dissolve into the curry...so it's dish which tastes better the next day 😄. This ingredient doesn't taste good when you eat it as it is though

The place is Kerala.. Kera+Ala, which literally means home of coconut trees. Your breakfast was Appam and Kadala curry. You can break appam to a small piece to scoop the curry and eat it. Once you get into the groove you can just pour the curry by side or on top of appam to get it soaked with curry. You can go crazy my mix it all or tear it to form small bite size pieces and eat it. 😊 The black thing you found in your fish curry is dried flesh of garcinia cambogia, which is native to Kerala. We use it in our fish curry. You get spoons if you ask btw, though the preferred way to eat is by hand because we believe food tastes better when ate by hand. And there are other benefits too. Elderly man was selling peanuts or whatever in those paper cones and not begging.
