Tracking a number requires a call to be of certain length so the police have to keep these guys engaged. Secondly an audio recording(the call in this case) is admissible as evidence in the court of law. Without proof, a chargesheet is rather shallow. Was that educating enough for you?🙃

I am from Odisha, and I can tell one thing, I have got many such calls from Jamtaraa gang in Jharkhand. Some point to catch them is - 1. He will tell he stays nearby, but will never speak local language. Issue is, even a guy living in another state learns at least one or two sentences of local language for sure. 2. Without looking at the product he will try to send you money and will ask to scan some qr codes. A real buyer will always ask many questions about product being sold and will bargain for sure. If he does not bargain, then either he is passing time or he is fraud. Very important- don't get emotional when someone says he work in Armed Forces. Generally speaking, armed forces guys don't buy huge items due to their regular transfers once evey 3 year. So they generally use whatever the army cantt can avail them. Even I have seen some officer's family members using library computers for browsing internet as they don't have PC at home. And this is 2019 incident. Jai Hind.
