tracks nhi hai chalene ko VB chalayenge. Tracks ka limit 130kph 99.99%. Ab ye bata jaha par LHB coach 130 tak h ja pati hai waha VB ho ya bullet train 120-30 par h chalegi.

@@letsgogreen4484 Railways is constructing test track for 220 kmph in Rajasthan for future dedicated corridoors for VB. Nowhere in the world we have high speed broad gauge line, so we have to develop it. World uses only standard gauge. In future what my railway friends have told me is that railways will move to 72 kg/m rails and the ride quality and smoothness of those tracks will be better than flying. Bullet train corridoor will do 320 kmph or more no probs. Remember, Chinese bullet trains are running almost $1 trillion in LOSS.

For those wondering what is new -- the toilets are upgraded. There are charging points for every seat. The couplers are from VB, so with the new suspension, the gangways will be very smooth at high speed, on normal trains that area is a roller coaster. The train is push-pull, so it accelerates much better, using full potential of WAP-5, which can actually go till 200 kmph. All compartments get power from HoG overhead, so there is no need for heavy, noisy, diesel consuming 2 power cars unlike regular LHB trains -- so 2 extra compartments are available for more cargo and passengers. Diesel cost per unit was like 5x higher than overhead power, so imagine how much money railways was losing per train because of those 2 big power cars. Turnaround time of the train is reduced because no need to shunt locos. It is more aerodynamic so it reduces power consumption. It carries more than 1800 passengers (and given how we travel, probably quite a bit more in practice), which is huge. It is non AC budget train. So don't expect too much new fancy stuff. But this train fixes many things missing in current conventional technology with known available solutions.

Initially I was very against the non AC Vande Bharat so to say but reading a comment here about whats new in this train, I agree this is definitely what India needs. Yes we wish they could somehow make AC trains for everyone today but guesd thats gonna take 10-15 more years. Still, progress! :)

It is costly. Thing is, Indian Railways is one of the few profitable railways in the world. In USA, the rail travel for passengers sucks (I mean REALLY sucks) because they privatized everything. China's bullet train is a $1 trillion dollar loss, but since other parts of the economy gain, they're going on. VB will give AC travel to everyone. And in the future a push pull garib rath may return too for more affordable AC travel, I used to like that train a lot.

Not just pull, but another one pushing in tandem Controls of both the engines are connected by cable They work in perfect sync WAP 5 s are capable of great speeds but lack the tractive effort Two locos working from front and back together seamlessly solve all the problems Effective power is double that of a single WAP 7, Acceleration will be super quick without the fear of derailment and decoupling. Braking will be twice as effective with two dynamic brake systems working from front and back Regeneration due to braking will be greatly improved The list will go on And not to forget the sealed vestibules and jerk free coupling Definitely, it is not a ground breaking invention, but a very very effective, low cost innovation, which we need badly in India in all sectors It will also be energy efficient considering the cruise speed, acceleration, deceleration and haulage of 22 coaches with 1800 passengers, luggage etc Please try to understand the whole picture before undermining any achievement

What is the top speed of vande sadharan. Mai BHUBANESWAR se BERHAMPUR mahine 4-5 time travel karta hu avg dist of 150km and maine lhb coach wale train ko 140-145kmph k speed me bhagte hue dekha hai jo where is my train show karta hai 5kmph error manke chale tab v 135-137kph limit k bahar hai. Bdw lhb coaches 200kph tak ja sakte hai.

Gatiman express clocked 160KMPH. What is great in it. Vande Bharat at least got better acceleration. This is almost no change from existing trains.
