New Delhi has reportedly signed a deal for Russian IGLA S anti-aircraft missiles to be made in India.
The IGLA S is a portable anti-aircraft system from the early 2000s. India has been using the IGLA series for decades.
The plan to manufacture the missiles in India will boost the country's domestic arms industry.

It is never a good idea to rely on "one source" for defense needs. I.e., get whatever is the best weapon out there from whomever. Even better is to "make your own"... Self reliance! Even better than that is... NOT TO HAVE ANY CONFLICT AT ALL, anywhere in the world! The only way that will happen is by each of us knowing who we really are, and by each of us acting with utmost integrity.
