Pakistan might consider India a rival but I don't think India considers Pakistan a rival by any means. It's kind of sad, Pakistan's obsession with India. The only Indians that care about Pakistanis are probably Punjabis because of their ethnic ties, love/hate relationship. Most other Indians don't give a shit about Pakistan.

Outsider opinion here so Indians/Pakistanis please bear with me. So basically what you're saying is: you don't mind having a terrible economy, if india has a terrible economy, you just don't lile like watching others succeed. Whenever I see Pakistanis I feel like their whole existence is predicated on how they are perceived in relation to or as distinct from India. If you want to succeed as a nation you have to do it based on your own desire to be better. I'm pretty sure if Pakistan had a terrible gdp per capita they wouldn't care so long as india had one that was worse.

A question arises before investing in Pakistan. If India is growing so fast and has a lot of potential to become an economic superpower and provide high returns, in fact higher chances than Pakistan, why invest in Pakistan over India? Isn't it wise to invest in India? It is more influential, more stable governments and stronger resilience?

If wishes were horses and pigs could fly. I wish things were as easy as investing in an investment fund and the economy goes boom. The India growth story has its foundation in the great science oriented secular education system since it's foundation. The advent of reforms and capital just took advantage of that.
@amardeepmishra5547
@amardeepmishra5547 Жыл бұрын
They won't understand Kalyan, there's a saying, our mind tend to believe in "easy things". For them, pouring FDI into Pakistani economy could solve all their economic woes. However, what this chap doesn't realise is that Pakistan is most probably at the lowest rung in IT. Even then there are very few people who could actually execute a project end-end. Forget core engineering experience, because this requires "hard work" - - the kind of work average Pakistanis are not aware of. A true culture of engineering research can only penetrate a society if it is secular - - no religious theocracies are doing great in science front.

These comment are bizarre. The Pak tech sector is nascent, sure, but it has all the technical know-how and raw talent of the Indian tech ecosystem. It doesn't have the deep experience that comes from a much more developed ecosystem - sure - but that will come. How this has anything at all to do with secularism and religion I have literally no idea.

But they lack skills. Even if you make a unicorn. It won't work because there is no proper channel where it can function and it will explode. Current example is "Airlift". -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Investors see your economy and stable environment first before making it into your country. You are unable to provide that. First create skilled labour. Having 100-200 enterpreneurs doesn't mean that all people are talented. ---------------------------------- I'm not criticizing. But your country is political unstable and your reserves speaks for itself. I wish pakistan good luck.

Education in Paxtan is in a dilapidated state. The very few who excel in their studies either move abroad (you can search for a recent report) or suck it up and work hard. 6:42 I'm surprised that in your 16-odd minutes of "research", terrorism was just a mention. COVID lockdown had its own advantages, as you could see that report on deaths resulting from terror-related incidents. I’m very curious to know if the growth mentioned in this video about Pakistan it’s really the same since Imran Khan is not in the government . The figure shown were 2021 .

I would expect growth to slow this year like with every country. Imran Khan was definitely better for tech sector though.

You seriously need to get your economic fundamentals right. You are mixing per capita GDP with overall GDP. The GDP of India was never same as that of Pakistan. India is a much bigger country and economy. Only per capita/person income of the two countries were similar back in the days. But Now India's per capita is more than two times that of Pakistan. Whereas overall GDP of India which was 5 times bigger, now has jumped to 10 times bigger as a result.

It would be better if Pakistan stops comparing itself to India , they are completely different countries with different approach to everything.

What illogical comment can you explain. From what I read everyone is right 😂. This content creator thinks IT and FDI automatically pour into Pakistan like waterfalls and they can catch up india 😂. It looks stupid. India sucess is different story, he don't know nothing but saying this is success, then we need to accept it or what ?

@@alenorraiden1 illegal to criticize the Indian government, up to life in prison without police warrant or a trial, no freedom of speech in India no privacy The Indian government has slapped the sedition law against people in India for freedom of speech on several occasions. Some notable examples include: * In 2019, the Indian government arrested journalist Prashant Kanojia for sedition after he tweeted a video of a woman asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi a question about unemployment. * In 2018, the Indian government arrested student leader Umar Khalid for sedition after he gave a speech at a protest against the hanging of Kashmiri separatist Afzal Guru. * In 2017, the Indian government arrested poet and activist Varavara Rao for sedition after he wrote articles criticizing the government's handling of the Maoist insurgency. * In 2016, the Indian government arrested student leader Kanhaiya Kumar for sedition after he was accused of chanting anti-India slogans at a protest. * In 2015, the Indian government arrested journalist and activist Arundhati Roy for sedition after she wrote an article criticizing the government's handling of the Kashmir conflict. These are just a few examples of the many times that the Indian government has used the sedition law to silence its critics. The sedition law is a colonial-era law that was used by the British to suppress dissent. It is now being used by the Indian government to stifle freedom of speech and expression. The sedition law is a vague and draconian law that makes it a crime to "bring into hatred or contempt, or excite disaffection towards, the Government established by law in India." This means that anyone who criticizes the government or its policies can be arrested and charged with sedition. The sedition law is a serious threat to democracy in India. It is used to silence dissent and to intimidate critics of the government. The Indian government must repeal the sedition law and allow for free and open debate and discussion in India. In addition to the examples above, there have been many other cases where the sedition law has been used against journalists, activists, and students for their peaceful expression of dissent. The sedition law is a tool that the Indian government uses to silence its critics and to create a climate of fear and self-censorship. The sedition law is a relic of India's colonial past. It is a law that has no place in a democracy. The Indian government must repeal the sedition law and allow for free and open debate and discussion in India.

The guy in the video missed a truly central economic principle most companies in India enjoy economies of scale and well educated English speaking populace (Skilled labor is a huge component for driving growth). In india there are more than 100 top class educational institutions (IITs, NITs, IIMs and AIIMS). And Indian middle class heavily invests in education. It’s not about some outlier figures that can project a trend Pakistan does not have a single top class higher education institution and lacks investment discipline in basic sciences. In my view Pakistan requires a bottom up economic transformation not some one off startup induced makeup 🙏 Edit: Just an anecdote on how much Indian brain is in demand I had a very handsome paying job in India but got an offer from a big firm in London on skilled worker visa this year alone india received the highest share of skilled visa in uk this shows the level of talent hunt global companies do in India. And honestly I had to think twice to come to uk because my wage in india was almost similar to what I am getting here (obviously adjusted for purchasing power parity)

As an Indian who came to the US for a while and made a good Pakistani friend, i wish your country all the best. Nobody deserves to die in poverty and everybody has the right to improve their living standards. Additionally, i believe in giving everyone the benefit of doubt. But i couldn't help but notice in the beginning of the video you were miffed that India has gone ahead. So are you upset that Pakistan has not lived up to your expectations or you are upset that India has lived up to its potential to an extent? Seems to me you are more angry that india has done better than UK and Pak.

Brilliant video! Great from my perspective as I have lot of interest in Pakistan and trying to figure out ways to help get her back on track. Cur8 is a brilliant and much need initiative but even with that it seems one can only invest if one is a Self-Certified Sophisticated Investor or High Net Worth Investor. In another video you mentioned tickets are available from £5K upwards which seems reasonable. Would appreciate your help on this. Great video, humourous too!
