This was just after the 1999 world cup and ended up being poor tournament for india. They won just one match and players were not in good touch. Tendulkar, Ganguly, Dravid who had good world cup struggled for runs except in the last match where tendulkar and ganguly got runs. Kumble had one of his worst tournaments, going for runs and getting only a few wickets, prasad was inconsistent with Srinath and Chopra to some extent having good tours. Just a forgetful tournament.
