What do you mean by that? Why it is a trend for all us INDIANS to criticise ownself. I agree in those days bats were less thicker no poweplays were in quest blah blah ... Today still a batsman a batsman has to hit a ball across the rope for a six; lots of video analysts are there who finds out a batsman's slightest of weakness. Batsmen are given LBW while defending on front foot. I feel the balance is same as before. End of the day I am a professional umpire.

Back days all the teams were tough enough but now u can see wi, sa, aus, pak and sl these teams became weak and fail to produce quality players? And i will blame this due that shitty t20 format, reduces boundary length and giving a modern bat and the biggest thing it became gambling now

what fools we were to expect these two super humans to always be there or at least have successors so we could always be proud and forget any daily woes during cricket season....to see SC in his baggy never fitted proper gear, helmet surely the smallest size but still askew battling all that oppose with class and determination...speaking of class - Lara - wow, neatly tucked in and hated by all except by true fans of the game who would cheer even if their own teams best bowler was just caressed to the boundary with the bowler and keeper still wondering how the ball crashed into the boundary ropes and not the wicket

India reached the semifinal after beating Australia because of Sachin's all round performance. India was too much dependent on Sachin in 90s. Look at this match, if Sachin scored at least 30 more runs, the result would have been different. Players like Ganguly and Dravid cannot accelerate the scoring. A Team with poor bowling and fielding depends on a star batsman who makes their batting looks good even though it's average without him and you call him overrated🙄
