They weren’t lying about the middle part! I promise it looks cute! I switched my part this year to the middle after getting playfully bullied by my little gen z sisters! It only looks weird to us at first because we’re not used to it ❤

I think it can only be an issue if you're older. It can make your face look "dragged" down. For some. Curly/wavy hair looks great with a side part!

I was a little surprised that the middle part started being known as the Genz hair, because when I think of middle part I think of the 70s.. well that 70s Show where Donna has the straight hair and middle part! I always loved that look. I could never wear a side part too long. It always went back to a middle part for some reason. 1994.

As a science teacher, my inch is a true ruler sized inch. 🤣 My hair dresser has learned when I say a certain number of inches I mean it. The first time I went in asking for three inches off, she didnt believe I knew just how much that was going to be. So she pulled out her hair ruler and asked me to show her three inches with my fingers. I was pretty spot on. 😁 This time when I went in saying I wanted six inches off, she didnt question me. And I refuse to jump on the middle part hair wagon!! Give it time. We will be back on a side part trend soon. 🤣🤣

So, lol, about the middle part. I wore one all through my teens and 20's and then went to a side part at 30 and did that for like 10 years. Then I started seeing all the stuff online about the side part looking "old" so just for giggles I styled my hair with a middle part about a year ago and OMG! I actually LOVE it and honestly I think it kinda did make me look just a teensy bit younger lol. There's just a youthfulness about it maybe because of the symmetry? Idk but i've been doing it every since and I'm loving it. It's funny how we want to look more mature when we're younger and then more youthful when we're older lol. Try the middle part!! You might accidentally like it

I went to Three-13 on Canton Road. They are such a big, fun salon. They give you a tour, and offer a lot of services. I'm a simple gal, just wanting a cut, but it was still fun to see the whole salon. I went to Gabrielle. She was great. Young enough to be my daughter LOL, but she did a great job for me. They have several stylists that do curly hair. I always ask for one that has curly hair theirself. I don't color my hair, so just do a bunch of long layers in a cut a few times a year. I used to go to Siggers off 285, and they were fine, but my stylist retired after going to her for 22 years! Siggers cost me more than Three-13 for a cut. @@leash2148

Just me… when the hair starts drying out as they’re cutting it it needs to be damp with your spray bottle through out as needed. I don’t know how to tell my beautician that as I don’t wanna come off bossy or like I know it all. So how do I tell her.
@daisymaejune9 ай бұрын
Just tell her 💕 exactly like you said it. If you have a good stylist, she won’t be offended. If she gets snippy with you, find a different stylist. I did hair for 15+ years and never got annoyed if someone told me what helped or didn’t help their hair when trimming it. A good stylist will appreciate your feedback, and want to give you the best results they can!

Hair dresser said not to cut in a triangle, but she didn’t say how it should be cut. She did say to layer the crown, that was informative. Trying to figure out how i can have long hair like hers, and still have curly hair. Tricky.

She said "long layers" a few minutes later. You have to wait for it. It's all about the long layers. I have been doing long layers for years luckily another curly (hairdresser) turned me on to it when I went to her when I was home visiting family in Florida.

It may happen sooner than you think 👀🙃 the weirdest part about being blonde is that your hair changes through life and it’s really hard to adjust to it. I started off with white hair, then it turned to blonde, then it turned to dirty blonde and now it’s what I would call bronde naturally. It’s hard to have your hair change over decades 😆

I’m sorry. I’m a Millennial through and through and I refuse to switch to a middle part especially because with my facial structure and because my hair is curlier than yours, it doesn’t look good on me. I rocked center part from when I was 7 up until I was 14 and I hated. Also, the blunt cut doesn’t look good on my hair.
