I see more than a few reviewers are doing a bit of scrambling with this bike in the Rann of Kutch and desert flats of Rajasthan. And it makes sense, it's got a decent a suspension setup, is very torquey at low rpms, the weight is well balanced, the front end is lighter and goes over obstacles fairly easily, and it has a nice wide slightly raised handlebar. It's more scrambler like, even with the alloy wheels and roadster looks, than many of the pseudo scrambler bikes available in India. A scrambler variant of this bike would be very successful.

It may be the step sister of harley.., but I bet it is way closer to Ronin and CB 350R. Although I feel Mavrick should be compared with Suzuki V STROM 250 as the both have same power output, oil as their coolant and most importantly "Price point". Last but not the least each of them earn an one extra point, the Mavrick for Service Network but V STROM for better ergonomics and comfort!

Really nice and honest review! However just a few point where i thought u were inaccurate: The top speed is way above 130-132. And given that u had such free roads u should've easily managed higher speeds. What exactly do u mean by the bike does not have a top end? That it does not have a commendable top speed figure? Also, comforatable cruising can be done at speeds of upto 110 or even 115. U spoke of it being dynamically good when it comes to design...but when u look at the bike's rear you can't miss the bike looking a little off when it comes to symmetry!

The biggest downside in maverick is no connectivity option in mid variant and its tail design, small meter console. People like mid variant more for the colour options but not getting connected feature makes them to reconsider with other options.

Bike to achhi lag rahi hai.. rear aur thoda ho sakta tha.. overall achha hai... i like sounding more.. i think mileage bhi thik thak hona chahiye.. q ki X440 ka hi 30-35 bata rahe hai to iska aur chhha ho sakta hai.. Q ki Hero ki bikes to mileage ke liye jani jati hai..

That's good to hear. So I think Mavrick sits between Hunter and Speed 400. Better than Hunter for daily commutes and weekend highway rides. But not up to the levels of Speed 400 for long rides. I take the test drive of both ronin and mavrick. As ronin has usd and monoshock. I would say mavrick suspension handles bumps on high speed way better than ronin

I will not buy it. I have a pathetic experience with Hero motocorp. Although it is collaboration with Harley but other components are made by Hero. I know hero's reliability. Front suspension oil is already visible in brand new bike.

You totally misunderstood it. If someone rides their bike in dusty areas and does not wash it, then the dust particles get accumulated over the front forks too and when the forks get compressed then those dust particles form a ring around the forks. No matter what bike you use, some 0.05% ( very minute I mean) oil comes out through the oil seal all the time to keep the smoothness of the operation intact. You can't stop it.

Maine aur shumi ne alag alag bike chalayi thi, ab unko jo FE/mileage mile wo mujhe bhi mile ye kisne kahan? ‘Kahan se le aaya bhai’ tu ye Logic? Aur shumi ne kin road conditions (if there were extremely bad patches too) pe chalayi, uska mujhe nahi pata. Also review ka matlab hi ek bande ka apna ‘perspective’ hota hai, ab dusare ko kya laga uspe thodi jawab dena hota hai hamein.

Not all products are made for a specific type of people. An RE Classic 350 buyer differs from a KTM 390 Duke buyer, and both, in their own right, are 'enthusiasts'.
