I’m gonna look through your videos but it would be cool to rank companies that offer ECU flashes by quality/price. Your recommendations for mail in ecu work. I’m nervous about mailing it in but I live in the mountains and have no tuner around

I have only had Lloyd'z Garage tune.. but I have had friends that had RVS Performance and they liked them and I have seen and heard good things about RVS so no bad words to be said. And then dyno jet I have zero expertise or insight about theirs... also Mad Monkey does tuning and as I have not had one or know anyone I do they they are a good group of ppl!!

I can see my challenger there at 1:07. I too got the flash. Had stage one already, biggest thing I can say about it is there is basically zero lag in the throttle response. Very fun and glad the 110 is gone lol

Damn I missed you. I was there all day Saturday. Went in for nothing left out with a stage 1, rush exhaust, and bought stage 2 cams... I live 2 hours from lloyds so I'll have them install the cams and do a tune.

Hey Ridingfish, what slipons are you using now? I know you had the Zombies at one point but did you get something quieter before getting your ECU flashed?

I changed out the zombie baffles for the Tab 2.5 inch baffles but took the packing off the muffler to open it up alittle..

The bike is still not tuned properly. One flash for all bikes. That doesn’t make sense.

It’s a “calibration”, not really a tune. They do ask what you’ve had done to your bike so they can adjust the calibration for you but yes, you could go further with an actual custom tune. I feel like that’s something they’ll be doing at their shop once they catch up with all the new calibrations

Yes! The system is pretty advanced... they are very specific on what each person has.. before ever taking the ECU..

@@Ridingfish unless they have tuned your bike on a dyno it isn’t right. I don’t care how advanced it is. No idea what the proper AFRs are without tuning on a dyno with. a capable tuner. For 600 bucks I would wait until someone comes out with software to actually tune the Challenger.

@@freedom6919741, so this ecu once it's cracked you set AF tables and the bike does it.. you can't just "add or subtract" fuel.. so once the parameters are set really not much need to be on a dyno!! But I do understand what you are talking about!.

@@Ridingfish maybe in the Indian world that will work. There is no replacement for a properly tuned Motorcycle. I had a Victory Vision with a 116 built by the Vic Shop. I have had several built HD motors now. If you have never ridden a bike that was tuned properly you would say just what you said. Trust me there is a big difference. Hopefully soon a tuner comes out so guys like Lloyd’s and Rylan at the Vic Shop can tune these challengers properly. There is a ton of potential in the Power Plus platform. Sky is the limit.

Is an ECU flash necessary for slip ons to a new bike?

No..... unless you add an air intake.. But this ECU flash is a ride ability flash that changes how the bike acts.. and that is things like throttle response and RPM limiters as well as the Speed limiter.. and a few other things the Lloyd'z Garage tune changes.. I have talked with ppl that got the Lloyd'z Garage flash on a bone stock bike to enjoy the ride ability!!

I don’t have anything against Loydz great people great company it’s not about them, Why didn’t you talk to them about the 10 thousand pound elephant in the room!!! That is the Untunable ECM that Indian motorcycles is using in there bikes!!! You guys didn’t talk at all at all about the encrypted ECM, why not??? Are you all afraid of Polaris??? Here’s the bottom line I’d love to see you do a video about this if you’ve got the balls!!! I want to see you do a video with representatives of Indian motorcycles or Polaris about why they’re encrypting there ECM’s so the customers that own these motorcycles cannot tune them!!! I want to know after spending $35,000 why they think they have the right to control my motorcycle after I own it out right!!! Because that’s the big issue for real bikers!!!! This issue isn’t going away and when a H-D can beat my overhead cam motor because my ECM turns off at 5500 rpm!!! I think Indian motorcycles should take away any and all references for this motor and motorcycle being high-performance as long as you can’t get High performance out of it!!!

I would love to talk with them and ask all these hard questions!! But the ECM can be tuned .. it took a while for that to be cracked enough to fine tune like that!! But I will say HD is using the same ECMs now and have also had many of the same issues .. my thoughts behind that is I'm sure it has something to do with the EPA.. I could be wrong as I'm only guessing with thr info I have on hand!! If I get the chance to chat about the hard core ECU/ECM I will gladly do it!! I do have the balls to ask questions!! Lol

@@Ridingfish here’s the bottom line I can’t go get a power vision and take my bike to Trask Performance here in AZ and tune my Challenger that I own!!!! And tune it my way!!! I don’t think the encryption was cracked I think Indian motorcycles have given permission to a few companies to go just a little bit!!! As far as the EPA it’s none of Indian‘s motorcycle business!!! Quit trying to control people like communists!!! If I choose to shoot the bird at the EPA that’s between me and the EPA !!! Indians got nothing to do with it after they sell me that damn motorcycle!!! But yet here they are like good little communists controlling everybody that owns an Indian challenger or any of there other bikes for that fact!!!! So ask Polaris why they’re trying to control the motorcycles after they already stole them!!!! They’re trying to kill the hot rod industry!!!!! PS I don’t give a fat rats ass about Harley Davidson I don’t own one with a Bosch ECM right now!!!

Very deceptive pricing by Lloydz. Had my Challenger flashed this weekend at Panama City beach. Website shows tune at $599. So I made appointment with Jeff & took bike in 30 minutes later bike was rolled back out. At no time before doing or after was I told that the bill would be $804.00. That is what was charged to my card. I was told after the tune that the extra $200 was for the 30 minutes of labor that it took to remove seat and hookup computer. Very deceptive rip off. Don’t fall for it.

The rip off is a flash which is generic tune that you used get for H-D’s years ago for 50 bucks!!! The rip-off is a power vision was about 400 and my tuner was about 3 hours totaled 7-8 hondo and that was a real tune!!!! Every rpm tuned perfectly!!!

I have stage 1 with Indian air intake and Freedom performance true dual exhaust. Bike sounds and feels awesome. Cost of this tune vs cost of the Indian cams (which are about the same) plus cost of labor to install the cams is a much better return on investment with better performance. I perused Lloyds website, no RTC places here in AZ. Tune is very tempting, but I know this will void the warranty. Challenger is a very complicated machine filled with 1's and 0's. Should I have any issue with the bike, even if its unrelated to the tune, Indian will deny the warranty claim. Should Indian give their blessing to Lloyds tune and still honor the warranty, I would absolutely do it. Excellent video of real reviews of the tune. Ride safe.
