JIT is about optimal & efficient use of resources For fast tracking it's parallel dev We have an opportunity here not with AMCA per se but with the whole bunch - Tejas 2, TEDBF, ORCA & AMCA at a tier above Only concurrent funding required The engine program needs bit of splashing (or crashing as the parlance goes) where you throw greater than optimal resources A foreign partner extracting fat sum is one form of splash/crash 😉

How About following a pragmatic iterative and incremental indegenous platform development model, where priority is on putting it into production as quickly as possible. Rather than trying to develope everything at once and failing to deliver anything on time. It's perfectly fine if first few batches of our aircraft have mostly imported components and sub systems. Future batches down the line can roll out domestic systems as and when ready. But no point in delaying induction waiting for domestic systems to materialize. How about swallowing pride and partner with foreign countries to develop technology and in meantime develop capacity to handle more complex projects domestically?

We are still not good enough in missiles because neither do we have American HIMARS type 250Kms nor Russian Iskandar-M nor Shaheen Kamakaze drone. Nothing happens at DRDO, it should be converted to an Urduwood, making wonderful science fiction movies for rest of us. Chinese are already making 4 aircraft carrier and we don't even have light tanks for mountains. I mean a teacher would have thrashed an incompetent student of the type DRDO and ADA red and blue. Turkey has made multiple aircrafts while for last 50 years we have just reached Mark 1A. It doesn't show our strength, it shows how incompetent we are, rather putting how incompetent DRDO and ADA is. Americans made SR-71 aircraft that had hypersonic Ramjet almost 50 years back and F-35 is a single engine lift off from the deck, just imagine the kind of engine that is designed and Kaveri cannot even touch Mach 1. We are fisadi in all areas that DRDO is involved, except for missiles whose contribution comes from ISRO and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
