Only if IAF takes lessons from the Indian Navy and coast guard, when it comes to speed and efficiency in procurement of new weapons. Indian airforce is too much influenced by import lobbyists and middle men who make it difficult for faster and smoother induction of advanced Indian made weapons. Sometimes I feel funny that Armenia and Phillipines are buying more Indian made weapons than the Indian armed forces. 😅

@@MrUnkown822 come on buddy, nation's development is not one man game..current political leadership is no different from others...look at the budget allocated to ISRO, DRDO and other R&D..they are meager and inadequate..it seems govt has money to give free food, non-required subsidies and investing money in schemes like ladli behna yojna which yields no pratical results, but it has severe monetary constraints when it comes to armed forces and it R&D and that's why they imposed Agniveer Yojna to cut down expenses. Open your eyes buddy all politicians are almost same they just want power. It is people like you and me who fight among themselves for these politicians. We must focus on national development not cheap politics.

@@vaimurthy jets were shot down by a national military having all sorts of equipment and radars. Whereas this drone is getting shot down by a group with no good equipment. Hilariously India is paying more for a single unit of MQ-9 than even a fighter jet. As far as crashing is concerned western aircraft crash too. It's just that the media makes a bigger ruckus when a Russian or non western aircraft crashes. You can refer to the multiple crashes of AH-64 in the last few months as an example. The purpose of MQ-9 is surveillance but if it is so easy to detect and shoot down then it is practically useless during war.
